At 🟥HANNOVER MESSE, the CEO of 🟡Lightstream BE shares his perspective on how maintenance practices are evolving on the factory floor. 📚 For years, industrial environments have relied on paper-based documentation — with all the limitations it implies in terms of access, training time, and knowledge transfer. The shift toward tablets has already started to address part of this challenge, giving technicians easier access to information in the field. 👷♂️But according to Dylan Caufrier, this transition is only a step. The next evolution is moving beyond screens altogether, toward augmented reality interfaces that integrate directly into the technician’s field of view. By combining real-time data access with remote expert support, this approach enables faster interventions and more intuitive workflows. ⏱️ Early observations highlight a significant gain in efficiency: reducing intervention time from around two minutes on a tablet to less than a minute using AR. 🍏 This vision is also gaining strong validation from the tech ecosystem, as the solution has received exceptional approval from Apple to develop on the Vision Pro, highlighting the growing convergence between industrial use cases and next-generation computing platforms. 📟 Beyond productivity, the broader implication is about accessibility.
