📊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲: 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯𝘀 𝟯.𝟬% 𝗬𝗼𝗬 For the first time since February 2022, national dry van spot rates have officially crossed above contract rates ($3.00 vs. $2.89/mile). If you are managing an inland logistics network, your routing guide is about to take a hit. Here is what this week’s data means for your execution gap: 🚛 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁 > 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 (Source: DAT): Van spot rates hit $3.00/mile, while van linehaul rates surged 45% YoY. Expect primary carrier tender rejections to spike as drivers chase open-market premiums. 🚂 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 (Source: AAR): Up 3.0% YoY (280,485 units). Steady, elevated volume is flowing consistently into the middle mile, leaving no buffer for yard backlogs. ⚓ 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 (Source: GPA): The $126M Brampton Road Connector is officially live, linking Garden City Terminal directly to I-16 to dramatically accelerate inland-bound drayage. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲: When carrier capacity tightens and drayage speeds up, your destination yards get slammed with highly unpredictable arrivals. You can't control the spot market, but you can control the gate. Kaleris closes the execution gap by syncing transport visibility with real-time yard constraints. When spot trucks arrive unannounced, the Kaleris YMS allows you to dynamically adjust scheduling, turn drivers faster, and keep gates fluid. Are you starting to see tender rejections rise at your facilities this week? #SupplyChain #Logistics #YMS #TMS #EveryMoveMatters

📊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲: 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗽 (+𝟭𝟮.𝟵% 𝗬𝗼𝗬) The July 4th holiday usually triggers a predictable shutdown dip across the logistics grid. But the latest macro data shows the market ran right through the holiday break this year, signaling an incredibly aggressive start to peak season. Here is the data-driven reality check for your inland and grocery logistics network for the week ending July 4th: • 🚂 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲: 𝗔𝗔𝗥): Total U.S. rail traffic climbed 𝟴.𝟳% 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, driven by a massive 𝟭𝟮.𝟵% 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘀. Shippers pushed freight through the grid right up to the holiday cutoffs, refusing to let inventory sit. • ⚓ 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵’𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘄𝗮𝘆 (𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲: 𝗚𝗣𝗔): In our Southeast backyard, the port-to-interstate infrastructure is about to get a major upgrade to handle these climbing volumes. The $126M Brampton Road Connector opens July 16, creating a direct, high-speed freight link from the Port of Savannah to the I-16 corridor, completely bypassing local streets and at-grade rail crossings. • 🍉 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 (𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲: 𝗨𝗦𝗗𝗔): While regional reefer capacity has stabilized across the holiday week, extreme summer heat is putting severe strain on transit windows. For grocery shippers, any gate congestion or terminal dwell at the destination DC puts product freshness and strict retailer OTIF windows at immediate risk. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲: When intermodal volume spikes nearly 13% during a holiday week, it means the inland grid is operating under zero margin for error. You cannot control macro rail surges or summer weather patterns, but you can control the handoff. Closing the execution gap means ensuring your yard is synchronized the second a container clears the rail ramp. Managing high-volume weeks with siloed data or manual gate processes is a direct ticket to driver detention fees and product spoilage. 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 integrates your middle-mile reality with real-time yard readiness so you can keep freight moving. The pre-holiday squeeze is officially on. Shippers are racing to move freight ahead of the July 4th weekend, and the latest macro data shows severe friction points building at the intermodal and grocery handoffs. If your network isn't synchronized right now, the holiday shutdown is going to expose your execution gap. Here is what this week's public data tells us about the inland and retail grocery market: • Intermodal Holiday Rush (Source: AAR): Up 10.1% YoY. U.S. railroads moved a massive 293,066 containers and trailers for the week ending June 27. This double-digit year-over-year spike confirms that international port volumes are tearing through inland corridors early, heading straight for domestic hubs. • Peak Reefer Shortages (Source: USDA): Severe capacity constraints are officially hitting the Southeast and West Coast agricultural lanes as summer produce peaks. The USDA reports acute refrigerated truck shortages out of California and northern hubs, driving spot rates up nearly 11% into Chicago and Atlanta corridors. • Port Throughput Pressures (Source: GPA): Regional container gates are extending gate hours this week to process the holiday container surge. Port velocity remains high, but it’s creating a massive "bullwhip" arrival pattern for inland facilities. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲: A double-digit spike in rail volume combined with refrigerated truck shortages means your destination yards are about to get slammed. You cannot control holiday rail delays or spot market capacity, but you can control how your network responds. Closing the execution gap requires a unified strategy. When over-the-road visibility, rail milestones, and yard constraints operate on a single data layer, Kaleris EVP provides the automated predictability required to stage labor and protect grocery product freshness before the gate logs jam. How is your distribution network handling the pre-July 4th rush this week? #SupplyChain #EVP #Logistics #ColdChain #YMS #TMS #EveryMoveMatters

There's a common misconception in the liner industry: that #CarrierOperatingSystems are built for global megaliners with massive fleets, deep IT teams, and big budgets. The truth? Small and regional carriers often have more to gain - and more to lose. When your team is lean, redundancy is limited, and operational knowledge lives in the minds of a few key people, the stakes are higher than you think. But here's the good news: 𝗮 𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅, 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗼𝗿-𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗜𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. 📊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 & 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲: 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 The Big Picture: Peak shipping season has officially arrived early. Shippers are aggressively converting freight from over-the-road to rail to lock in cost advantages before summer constraints fully tighten. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗴𝗮𝗽: • The Intermodal Tidal Wave (Source: AAR): 🚂 SURGING. For the week ending June 20, 2026, U.S. intermodal rail volume spiked 12.1% year-over-year to 288,739 containers and trailers. This is the clearest indicator yet that international port surges are hitting inland corridors early. • The Grocery Capacity Creep (Source: USDA): 🍉 TIGHTENING. While refrigerated truck availability remains "Adequate" across major Southern and West Coast crossings, spot rates are feeling the heat. Reefer rates into major consumption hubs like Dallas and Chicago have crept up 5% to 7% over the last two weeks as summer produce volumes hit their stride. • The Southeast Pipeline (Source: GPA): ⚓ EXPANDING. Right in our Southeast backyard, the Georgia Ports Authority announced that its $1.6B Ocean Terminal renovation has hit the 55% mark, with a second massive container berth opening by the end of this month. Crucially for drivers, a new $29 million overpass is routing trucks directly from the terminal to I-16, bypassing local streets. 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 When rail volumes jump double-digits and ports expand their physical throughput, the pressure shifts entirely to the inland yard and receiving facility. An early peak season means port and rail velocity is meaningless if your destination distribution centers are stuck in a visibility vacuum. If you are managing your grocery network with a traditional siloed approach, a 12% spike in intermodal arrivals will trigger instant yard congestion, driver detention fees, and missed retailer delivery windows. Closing the execution gap requires orchestration. When your over-the-road tracking, rail milestones, and yard operations communicate on a single data layer, you can dynamically adjust warehouse labor and gate scheduling before the rail wave hits your facility. How is your network handling the early peak season surge this month? Are you seeing the container logjam hit your gates yet? #SupplyChain #Intermodal #Logistics #GroceryLogistics #YMS #TMS #EveryMoveMatters
