Three fairs. One weekend. Berlin and San Francisco are both in motion - and we’re working alongside galleries as it unfolds. Not just what’s on the walls, but how booths come together, how work is positioned, and what actually drives conversations with collectors. We’ll be sharing what we’re seeing in real time.

Artists are some of the most entrepreneurial people on earth. So why are their business tools so bad? The infrastructure problem exists everywhere, but we started with in-person sales because that's where the pain is most acute. 30% of art sales happen at fairs. Another 20-30% happen in person: studio visits, pop-ups, gallery sales. That means more than half the market is transacted face-to-face, but people are still using Venmo for business transactions, scrambling to open international bank accounts for global fairs, or applying for sellers permits to remit taxes when they're only selling for 4-5 days. A year ago we did our first art fair to introduce a new solution. This year we have over 36 fair partnerships where Cohart is the official technology and payments partner. At Miami Art Week alone, Cohart was used at 7 fairs throughout the week and we processed $1M in sales. We've seen firsthand that when you give sellers professional tools, they sell more. And when more people can sell with credibility, the market expands. Today we're launching the Cohart Business app to do exactly that. The reality of this business is you need to sell everywhere: at fairs, in your studio, at pop-ups, online. It all needs to sync. More than half of art transactions are already international, so currency conversion can't be an afterthought. Payment friction kills deals. The app does what should have existed years ago: tap-to-pay, instant invoices, automatic sales tax, built-in currency conversion. Everything flows into your Cohart account. Inventory, collector data, sales history. If you sell art, this should make your life easier! 📱 Download: [link to iOS: https://lnkd.in/eyckpZpH] | [link to Android: https://lnkd.in/ekspd_Gr]

👀 need some inspo for art collecting? Meet Terrell Estime & learn about his collection in our latest Cohart Selects.

I had the chance to sit down with Cohart for my first video interview about my art collecting journey over the past five years. Building my art collection has given me an identity that is separate from my career. It’s a space where I feel challenged by the ideas in the artwork and by the people around it, who make it an opaque but special community. Often, my peers approach me asking how to start collecting, but they don’t know where to begin. Even when I share my tips, they are sometimes unsatisfied because I will tell them that developing taste takes a lot of time. That is the whole point. Now in the age of AI, when most things no longer require as much time, I believe that curation and taste will become even more important and likely, still rare. If you’re thinking about how you are spending time developing your taste (in anything, it doesn’t need to be art), check out the video below or the article in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Thanks, Kendall Warson (Cohart CEO and Co-Founder), for the opportunity! https://lnkd.in/ePPDHxCY

Cohart now supports multi-currency payments. Over 57% of sales on Cohart last year were international. Our community spans galleries and artists across the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Latin America. With 30% of dealer sales happening at fairs, cross-border commerce isn't the exception anymore. It's the norm. We built this because you asked for it, and we're launching it alongside a new international partnership with the Affordable Art Fair. You can now accept payment in a collector's local currency and receive yours automatically. London, Seoul, São Paulo... wherever your collectors are and wherever you're selling, you're covered. No more Square readers at the booth. No scrambling to set up international bank accounts before a fair. No wire transfers, exchange rate confusion, or lost sales because the payment logistics got in the way. Start today through your Cohart web dashboard, with tap-to-pay support coming soon. And if you're just getting started, we have dedicated pages for you: 🖼 Galleries → https://lnkd.in/eBcymkwh 🎨 Artists → https://lnkd.in/eCbrhbTC 📋 Fair Directors → https://lnkd.in/eAabQTnC

Lately, a lot of people in the Cohart community have been asking us the same question: what’s actually happening in the art market right now? We sit at a unique intersection at Cohart. Through fairs, transactions, online sales, and daily conversations with artists, galleries, and collectors, we’re close to how the market is actually moving. What we’re seeing is less about slowdown and more about shift. More buyers. More frequent transactions. Growth concentrated in the middle of the market. Discovery happening on mobile and social. Art fairs still playing an outsized role, especially at moments of highest intent. At the same time, the infrastructure behind the scenes hasn’t caught up. Payments are still manual. Tools are fragmented. Data is disconnected. That gap is what we’re building Cohart to solve. Not for the art world of the past, but for where it’s headed!

Two of my favorite charts to look at right now. Cohart now has active users across 6 continents, with artists, galleries, and collectors running real transactions through our system every day. What excites me most isn’t just the map, it’s how this growth is happening: <> 100% organic, word of mouth <> Driven by real value, not hype <> Catalyzed around the moment art is actually sold We’re starting with payments and operations, but we’re building something much bigger: a connected operating system for the global art market. This is just the beginning. 🌍 🤩

A lot of tools in the art world do one thing really well. Artsy aggregates listings. Instagram maps the social graph. ArtLogic helps galleries manage inventory. All of these matter. But none were built around the actual moment art is sold, especially in a world where art moves across fairs, studios, pop-ups, and online all at once. We built Cohart from a different starting point. ArtLogic helps you manage art. But Cohart helps you sell it – and learn from every sale. Over the past few weeks, artists and galleries used Cohart across seven fairs during Miami Art Week. Together, we’re on track to cross $1M in sales processed this month, with hundreds of new sellers joining along the way. Starting next quarter, we’re rolling out a new discovery experience designed around real transaction data to transform how art is discovered, bought, and sold, not just managed. The next chapter of the art market won’t be built on static records. It will be shaped by systems that learn from every real sale. shyevin s'ng

Last week in Miami was a milestone for Cohart. We were the official tech partner for three art fairs, but what truly blew us away was seeing customers using our platform across seven fairs in total. That’s the power of an operating system that travels with the art world. Wherever they are, we show up with them. In 5 days, Cohart-powered tools processed nearly $900K in sales volume. Our platform is attracting and retaining high-value professional sellers – galleries and established artists – who run real businesses and move serious volume. These are the users who need true infrastructure: integrated payments, instant checkout, automated sales tax, inventory management, and a system that works wherever the art is sold. Miami reinforced our conviction that Cohart is becoming the operating system for the art world: powering transactions, enabling professionals, and giving the industry modern rails to grow. We didn’t make it to any Basel parties this year (this pic of me before a fair at the airbnb is all I have to share on the content front) but for the best possible reason. 🚀 Onwards. 🖤

As we close out October, we’re reflecting on an incredible month across the art community. From Affordable Art Fair Boston and New York to ArtSpan SF Open Studios, we were thrilled to connect with so many artists and galleries using Cohart to power their presentations and sales. Your creativity and feedback continue to shape how we build. On the product side, we introduced new tools to make managing your art business even more seamless — including instant Certificates of Authenticity exports, enhanced event management features, and expanded capabilities for Premiere users to manage multiple artists. Next up: Superfine DC this week and Miami Art Week right around the corner — where we’ll be announcing new fair partnerships and continuing to grow with our global community. Here’s to ending the year strong — together. #Cohart #ArtMarket #ArtInnovation #GalleryTools
