  • 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 are moving from technical promise to industrial expectation. Customers are no longer asking whether PICs can work; they expect reliable delivery, traceable quality, and repeatable performance at scale. That is where our #Itilians have teamed up with SMART Photonics. We help build the digital and operational backbone for the next phase of PIC manufacturing. From secure EDA environments and connected manufacturing data, to traceability, test automation and closed feedback loops across design, fab and test. • Even with the hot summer already started, we welcomed another group of new #Itilians. First trainings and onboarding already done, so our new teammates will contribute to the way we work: with passion, expertise, delivery, collaboration and innovation. Or as we call it: #PILSI. Great to have you with us. We’re excited to see the #cool things we’ll build together.

  • A modern data platform is not just about new tooling. The real value sits in the design choices behind it. That is what this collaboration with Pameijer is about. With Microsoft #Fabric, Pameijer is building a data foundation that supports more consistent reporting, more room for self-service and a better starting point for future AI applications. Our role is to help shape that foundation: from architectural guidance and data modelling to CI/CD practices and a setup the team can actually maintain going forward. Because in practice, the challenge is rarely the platform alone. It is making sure the architecture fits the organization, the team and the way of working around it. Check our blog on this project taking shape - and why getting the foundation right matters before AI can truly add value. https://bit.ly/4b37IUl

  • Our #Itilian Joost sharing agentic AI experience (Memory is the new model: designing agentic AI that learns your organization) at the #IEEE World Conference on Computational Intelligence. One of the hottest places to be - not only due to the temperature, but mostly because of all the smart minds that gathered to discuss the latest developments and research in AI. The industry track covered diverse topics, from lessons of scaling AI workloads (PrimaLabs) to making nanostructures with AI (ASML, a very familiar topic for our San Diego #Itilians) and the impact of AI on the academic publication process (Springer). Gijs van Dijck had a great keynote on the legal and broader implications of applying AI in society and organizations. It's not only about the quantitative effects, but also about the more subtle effects. Simple, explainable solutions with humans in the loop often lead to better results This was in line with the business case Joost presented: how #agentic AI supports the finance department of SMART Photonics, showing it's not about the latest LLM, but about how to get the system adopted and capture tacit knowledge.

  • 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗯𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 In complex Power Platform landscapes, testing often depends on systems you don’t control. Partner environments may be under development, temporarily unavailable or restricted in non-production setups. When that happens, testing usually slows down - or stops altogether. Together with Obvion, we worked on a practical solution to decouple testing from those external dependencies: the Sjtubtool. Curious how this works in practice and what architectural choices made this possible? Read the full blog here: https://bit.ly/4eACwNe

  • 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀? Scaling #photonic integrated circuit manufacturing from R&D to high-volume production: a topic at the recent PIC International Conference. The key shift: moving from ‘can it work?’ to' can it be produced reliably, at cost and at scale?'. That requires more than advanced technology. It requires manufacturing discipline. At SMART Photonics, our #Itilians are helping build towards the maturity expected from a Tier 1 foundry, adapted to photonics. Customers expect fast scaling capabilities, predictable delivery, traceability, quality and reliability. A few lessons stood out for us: Look at the semiconductor industry, but adapt it to photonics. Invest in scaling early, because volume manufacturing requires a different mindset than R&D. Build an end-to-end data integration strategy, so AI does not remain a set of fragmented point solutions. And scale the value chain together. Photonics cannot grow in isolation. Design, manufacturing, testing, packaging, equipment and partners all need to mature together. That is the foundation behind the fab of the future. Built on data, automation and manufacturing discipline. And brought to life by getting things done, one core process at a time.

Excited to share our agentic AI experience at the IEEE WCCI 2026 Industry Day next week in Maastricht. The program features interesting talks from Prasanna Balaprakash, Gijs van Dijck, Arnaud Hubaux, Erwin Dijkstra and Aliénor Decours-Perez. With the ASML Tech Conference and the Mistral AI Now Summit just behind us, we’re especially looking forward to Arnaud's talk on AI-native engineering for the next technology era. And of course, to our own Joost Meijer, who will share Itility’s perspective in his session: memory is the new model - designing agentic AI that learns your organization 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺: https://bit.ly/4xC9UvO

𝗧𝗵𝗲 #𝗜𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗞 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. Time to put our skills to the test. We usually use data, AI, software, cloud, and security for serious business value. But this summer, there’s only one question that really matters: 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘺? Data models are allowed. Gut feeling is allowed. Blind optimism is definitely allowed. So, whether you’re a software engineer, cloud specialist, security expert, IT consultant, or data scientist: this is your moment to prove you can bridge Big Tech to football value. May the best #Itilian win. 𝘗.𝘚. 𝘠𝘦𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘈𝘐-𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦-𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.
