FALCO 2 Pumped vs Diffused: What’s the difference? 🤨 Both versions provide continuous VOC monitoring using advanced PID technology, but the difference comes down to how the air sample reaches the detector. Pumped sampling provides greater flexibility by drawing the air sample to the detector through a sample line. This makes it suitable for applications where the monitoring point is difficult to access or where the detector cannot be installed directly at the source. Diffused sampling is designed for monitoring the atmosphere around the detector, making it ideal for open areas, production environments and locations where the detector can be installed directly within the monitoring zone. It was a fast-paced few weeks, moving from trade show floors to customer sites, and sitting down with distributors and end users to talk through real-world challenges, applications and opportunities.
