DORA has been in effect since January 17, 2025, throughout the EU. This also applies to banks and financial institutions in Austria that are supervised by the FMA. The regulation defines how banks and financial companies must manage digital risks, report incidents, and monitor external IT service providers. What is often overlooked: document-based processes can also matter.
