Over the weekend, more than 13,000 flights were cancelled or delayed. And that number is expected to rise as the FAA cuts 10% of daily flights. You can’t stop a delay, but you can protect yourself for when it happens. Here’s what stood out:  🪴 Expedia Group expects travelers to look beyond beautiful views and choose destinations that care for their people and the planet, such as Okinawa, Japan and Big Sky, US. 🚆 Explore Worldwide | B Corp™ sees a rail revival and slower adventures taking the spotlight, as more people choose the scenic route over short flights. 💫 Booking.com predicts the rise of ultra-personalized trips with vacations built around your true self and passions rather than what everyone else is doing.  🚘 Hilton expects the return of the US road trip as the country celebrates its 250th birthday.  📝 SmartFlyer sees more travelers choosing to replace “someday” with now and make big experiences happen sooner.  🗺️ Skyscanner finds travelers looking for lesser-known destinations, such as Limon, Costa Rica and Olbia, Italy. This shows a desire for authentic experiences over touristy spots. Travel in 2026 is shifting from seeing the world to feeling connected to it. When you plan your next trip, think about what matters most to you. Maybe it’s crossing something off your bucket list. Or taking a train trip across the US.
