  • This Yahoo Finance article points out something many travelers don’t find out until it's too late: Most travel insurance plans don’t cover the really fun stuff. We’re talking about the adventures you planned the trip for, like skiing in Japan, paragliding in Colombia and scuba diving in Bali. Your typical travel insurance quietly excludes all of that. And you dont usually find out until your claim gets denied. But you can actually get covered for these activities. You just need the right plan.  With our Insured Travelers Trip Protection and Med+ plans, you can add adventure coverage so activities like these are included: 🪂 Skydiving ❄️ Heli-skiing or heli-snowboarding 🌊 Deep scuba diving (past 131 ft / 40 m) 🧗 Rock climbing (without equipment) 🏎️ Motor sports or racing And beyond the adventure add-on, your plan includes the essentials you expect when something goes wrong. So, go ahead. Plan your adventure. We’ve got your back. And if you have questions, email members@insurednomads.com. https://lnkd.in/ezt6Nnad

  • Over the weekend, more than 13,000 flights were cancelled or delayed. And that number is expected to rise as the FAA cuts 10% of daily flights. You can’t stop a delay, but you can protect yourself for when it happens. If you’re a U.S. resident, our Insured Travelers Trip Protection plan covers you when travel doesn’t go as planned: 🕐 Flight delayed: If your flight is delayed six hours or more because of an airport shutdown, air traffic control issues, or bad weather, you can get up to $150 per day and up to $500 total for meals, a hotel, or essentials. 🚫 Trip canceled: If your trip is canceled for a covered reason, including a government-ordered airport or air traffic control shutdown, you can recover up to 100 percent of your prepaid trip costs, up to $100,000. 🏠 Trip cut short: If you have to return home early, you can get back up to 125 percent of your trip cost to help with rebooking or extra travel costs.  🧳 Lost or delayed bags: If your bags are lost or delayed more than three hours, you can claim up to $2,500 for lost items or $500 if delayed. Airlines, TSA workers, and airport staff are doing their best to keep things moving right now. Give yourself one less thing to worry about. Get covered before your next flight: https://lnkd.in/e9a9AzdY

  • We read 2026 travel predictions from across the industry to understand how travel is changing and how we can better support your journey. Here’s what stood out:  🪴 Expedia Group expects travelers to look beyond beautiful views and choose destinations that care for their people and the planet, such as Okinawa, Japan and Big Sky, US. 🚆 Explore Worldwide | B Corp™ sees a rail revival and slower adventures taking the spotlight, as more people choose the scenic route over short flights. 💫 Booking.com predicts the rise of ultra-personalized trips with vacations built around your true self and passions rather than what everyone else is doing.  🚘 Hilton expects the return of the US road trip as the country celebrates its 250th birthday.  📝 SmartFlyer sees more travelers choosing to replace “someday” with now and make big experiences happen sooner.  🗺️ Skyscanner finds travelers looking for lesser-known destinations, such as Limon, Costa Rica and Olbia, Italy. This shows a desire for authentic experiences over touristy spots. Travel in 2026 is shifting from seeing the world to feeling connected to it. When you plan your next trip, think about what matters most to you. Maybe it’s crossing something off your bucket list. Or taking a train trip across the US. Or exploring a place no one you know has ever been. Whatever you decide, Insured Nomads is here to give you peace of mind along the way. Which of these travel trends feels most like you?

  • We hate to be the one to tell you this, but it’s time to start booking your flights if you’re traveling for the holidays. We know what you’re thinking, “ It’s not even Halloween.” But Google says the best time to book domestic Thanksgiving flights is about 35 days before takeoff, which means this week is go time. If you’re traveling in December for the holidays, try to book around 51 days in advance. That means now through mid-November is when you’ll find the best prices. While you’re booking flights and hotels, go ahead and protect your trip, too. Holiday travel can come with packed airports, weather delays, lost bags, or getting sick before your flight takes off. Travel insurance helps cover the unexpected so you can focus on being present with your loved ones. Where are you spending the holidays this year?

    • Traveling for the holidays? Take peace of mind with you.
  • Did we hear you say adventure? 👀 Introducing the Adventure Sports Add-On from Insured Nomads. It’s built for travelers who live life on the edge (literally). Your average travel insurance won’t cover jumping off cliffs, scaling peaks or scuba diving into the depths of the ocean. But at Insured Nomads, you say jump, we say how high? Read the full details in our latest blog (link in comments).

  • What do the most successful remote companies have in common? They don’t stay remote all year long. According to the 2025 State of Company Offsites report from Surf Office, 57% of fully remote companies say offsites are essential to their success. When your team comes together, you finally see the people behind the screens. The one who’s actually six feet tall. The quiet one who turns out to be hilarious. The new hire who finally feels part of something bigger. Shared experiences build trust, spark creativity, and create stories your team will talk about all year. At Insured Nomads, we make sure your team is protected every step of the journey so they can focus on connection and experience the trip without worrying about what could go wrong. How often does your team get together in person?

  • Instead of spending your time wondering if travel insurance is worth it, you should be asking this question instead: Is it worth traveling without trip protection? Imagine planning your dream vacation to that place you’ve always wanted to go. You book the flights, reserve the hotel, and pay for activities. Everything is set up, now you’ve just gotta get there. Then, a family member suddenly gets sick right before you leave and you have to cancel all your plans. Without coverage, you could be out thousands. With Insured Nomads, you can focus on what really matters and keep your trip fund for when you’re ready to go. Our plans cover medical emergencies, evacuations, trip delays and extras like lounge access for delayed flights with InstaPass™ , telemedicine with DrOnCall™ and Airalo eSIM discounts. Peace of mind is the most important thing you can pack. So, where are you taking us next?

Insurance for Digital Nomads: Do You Actually Need It? Freedom is the best part of being a digital nomad. One week you’re sharing dinner in a stranger’s home in Thailand, the next you’re hopping on a last-minute flight to go whale watching in Colombia. But with that freedom comes unpredictability—delayed flights, lost bags, food mishaps, and the headache of navigating healthcare systems far from home. That’s where nomad insurance steps in. Unlike tourists, nomads live abroad for months (or indefinitely). We’re not covered by a local doctor, we’re often alone, and we’re constantly on the move. Insurance matters because it adds stability to a lifestyle built on change—and gives peace of mind when things don’t go as planned. ✅ What to look for: solid medical coverage, emergency evacuation, flexibility for long-term travel, and extras like adventure sports protection. ❌ What to avoid: relying only on credit card insurance, picking the cheapest plan, or skipping the fine print. After exploring many options, our pick is Insured Nomads. Their plans go beyond medical coverage with perks that actually fit how nomads live: airport lounge access, eSIM discounts, telemedicine, and the Global Nomad Pass. Because while freedom is priceless, peace of mind is non-negotiable. Curious?
