Recently, the InquisIT family has lost two cherished female staff members to heart disease. They were both under the age 55. Their deaths may have been preventable had they, or someone they were close to, knew the signs and they get fast and correct treatment. We wanted to take a moment here to honor them and share with you the importance heart health for women and the often subtle, silent, signs that heart disease presents. Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the US? Did you know that most women do not recognize the symptoms of a heart attack until it is too late? The truth is symptoms in women can be much more subtle and less intense than they are in men. Women will often brush off their symptoms as anxiety, stress, heartburn, menopause - so please - take a few minutes to learn about symptoms, risk factors and what to do. These few minutes could save someone's life - yours included.
