Last Thursday, we held our annual Kick Off for the team at Inpute Technologies. We began the morning with a focused and energising session on our company goals for 2026/2027, aligning on priorities, sharing ideas, and doing what great teams do best: collaborating. There’s something powerful about getting the whole team in the same room, and the energy was brilliant. Of course, no kick-off is complete without a bit of friendly competition. We followed the business sessions with some axe throwing, revealing some hidden talent within the team, and this was followed by an even more competitive pool tournament where a new champion was crowned. We wrapped up the evening at The Market Bar on Fade Street in Dublin—great food, great company, and a fitting end to a brilliant day. A huge thanks to all for traveling, including our Polish and UK teams. Moments like these remind us why culture and connection matter just as much as strategy. Here’s to a big year ahead for Inpute!

Inpute's Director of Data Solutions, Alan Bourke, was delighted to take part in the PMTC Knowledge Day at the University of Limerick this week. Alan presented on implementing AI in regulated manufacturing environments — cutting through the hype to focus on what actually makes AI deployable and trustworthy in a GMP setting. A key theme throughout: getting the data foundation right first. Without solid historian and SCADA infrastructure, clean OT/IT integration, and proper data governance, even the most promising AI use case will struggle to deliver. Alan also joined the panel discussion, where industry peers debated the risks and rewards of AI adoption in manufacturing — a conversation that reflected both the excitement and the healthy caution that regulated environments demand.
Delighted to present at the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre Knowledge Day at the University of Limerick yesterday. My session focused on AI in the manufacturing environment — the opportunity, the noise, and the reality on the ground. The message I kept coming back to: AI is only as good as the data beneath it. In regulated manufacturing, it's tempting to jump straight to the exciting use cases — predictive analytics, anomaly detection, digital twins. But if your data foundation isn't solid, you're building on sand. Before asking "what AI tool should we buy?", the more important question is "do we have the infrastructure to support it?" — your historian and SCADA layers, OT/IT integration, data context and governance. Have you considered doing a Unified Namespace project first? Get that right, and AI becomes genuinely transformative. I really enjoyed the panel discussion , great insights by the other speakers on the day too. Thanks to the PMTC for the platform — great conversations in the room and plenty to follow up on. Breaking news from Croke Park… The Inpute cupcakes received a straight red card yesterday at Croke Park. Despite travelling as part of the official squad for the FinCon Conference, the buns were ruled ineligible for match day by the officials and sent directly to the sidelines. No review or appeal. Witnesses say the decision was harsh, especially given the cupcakes posed minimal threat beyond slightly elevated sugar levels and dangerously good icing. Our team battled on regardless, discussing Document AI, automation, compliance and data governance without their star players. The good news is the cupcakes are back in training ahead of tomorrow’s Public Sector Conference, and management remains hopeful the ban will be overturned. A strong second-half comeback is expected.

Great to attend the FinTech Conference 2026, held in Croke Park and speak with organisations about the growing importance of trusted data, automation and AI-ready information management within fintech. There was strong interest in how businesses are balancing AI with governance, particularly around Document AI. It was encouraging to see how many organisations are now moving beyond AI experimentation and focusing on practical, controlled and measurable business outcomes.
