  • Great piece from Bloomberg on the realities of 24/7 digital asset markets. One of the biggest differences between traditional finance and digital assets is that risk management never stops. Markets operate continuously, liquidity moves continuously, and infrastructure must be designed accordingly. At INDIGO Fund, our focus has always been on building strategies and operational frameworks that can perform in a market that never sleeps. Interesting to see this topic receiving increasing attention as digital assets continue to mature.

When I started my career in traditional finance, the market closed at the end of the day. Today, I run a business where the market never closes. That’s probably the biggest difference between TradFi and crypto. The opportunities are bigger. The speed is faster. But the responsibility never really goes away. Whether it’s a Sunday afternoon, a family event or the middle of the night, something can happen that requires immediate attention. That’s one of the topics I discussed with Bloomberg in their latest article on the reality of 24/7 markets. Thanks to Anna Irrera and the Bloomberg team for the feature. • 🌐 INDIGO Weekly Market Update Digital asset markets continue to mature as macro policy, institutional demand, and stablecoin infrastructure increasingly shape the direction of the industry. This week’s highlights: 📊 Crypto Market - BTC trading above $82K, with ETH and SOL recovering alongside improving market sentiment. Fear & Greed moved back toward neutral territory at 46. 🌍 Macro Environment - Markets remain focused on the Fed transition, with rates maintained at 3.5%–3.75% and expectations shifting toward a higher-for-longer environment under a potentially more hawkish monetary framework. 🏛 Institutional Demand - Spot Bitcoin ETFs continue attracting institutional inflows, reinforcing BTC’s positioning as a strategic long-term allocation asset. 💳 Digital Payments - Elon Musk’s upcoming “X Money” initiative highlights the growing convergence between fintech infrastructure, payments, and future stablecoin integration. 💵 Stablecoins - Tether reported over $1B in quarterly profit and now holds approximately $141B in U.S. Treasuries, further positioning stablecoin issuers as major participants in global liquidity markets. ⚖️ Regulation - U.S. lawmakers continue advancing stablecoin regulation through the CLARITY Act, with frameworks increasingly differentiating between banking products and digital payment infrastructure. 📈 Implications for Liquid Yield Strategies - As market structure matures and regulation becomes clearer, opportunities continue to emerge for liquid, market-neutral strategies focused on capital efficiency and institutional-grade risk management. 👉 Follow INDIGO for weekly insights on digital asset markets 📩 Investor inquiries: hello@indigo.fund

  • A $290M reminder of where risk really sits in DeFi. On April 18, an attacker exploited a vulnerability in the infrastructure layer used by Kelp DAO, leading to the minting of unbacked assets and over $200M+ of bad debt across lending protocols. Beyond the numbers, this highlights a key reality: In DeFi, risk often comes from the infrastructure, not just the strategy. A single point of failure can create systemic contagion. At INDIGO, this is exactly why we focus on: - Diversification across providers - Avoiding concentration risk - Maintaining liquidity - Selecting infrastructure conservatively Our strategies had no exposure to Kelp DAO or the affected stack, and client capital was not impacted. Yield matters. But how that yield is generated matters more. #DeFi #RiskManagement #DigitalAssets #Crypto
