    My friend Sharna Wiblen and I did a thing at #HRTech25 about how the proliferation of HR tools was a big red flag – and really dragging you down and killing efficiency and insight.  While I’m a big fan of Marie Kondo-ing your HR data ecosystem… I know that’s now always possible. Some of those unitaskers and clunky legacy systems are just really hard to get away from. But even if your HR data back end is kind of a mess, it’s exciting to see tools and functionality emerging that can actually span all those disparate systems – and make sense of them. We’re seeing tools in the market providing more and better integration – as well as much improved User Experience, with intuitive, dynamic interfaces replacing the frustrating queries of yore. I’ve seen a lot of cool people analytics and HR data demos (SO MANY COOL DEMOS) over the past couple of months, but the one I was most surprised by was Included - led by Laura Close. They’ve got a great, lightweight, intuitive and useful product, and they’re targeting a really underserved market – more small and mid-sized than the mega-caps that so many firms seem to drool over.
