  • As Cosmoprof North America brings together innovators from across the beauty ecosystem this week, one trend continues to accelerate: Consumers expect more personalized experiences, while brands are looking for measurable ways to improve conversion, retention, and customer confidence. We believe the future of beauty will be shaped by companies that successfully combine technology, personalization, and commerce into a seamless customer journey. The next decade of beauty may be defined not only by what products companies create but by how effectively they help people choose them. #CosmoprofNorthAmerica #BeautyTech #Personalization #AI #BeautyCommerce #iHairium

While thousands of people are walking the halls of Cosmoprof North America this week, one question keeps coming to mind. What will the beauty industry look like in 5 years? Cosmoprof North America has become one of the most important signals for where beauty is heading, bringing together more than 1,000 brands, retailers, distributors, manufacturers, and innovators under one roof. 💯 If the past few years have taught me anything, it's this: The next generation of beauty companies won't win because they have better products. They'll win because they build better customer experiences. Customers are overwhelmed by choice. Brands are fighting for retention. Marketplaces are trying to improve product discovery. Salon chains are searching for new revenue streams. Everyone is trying to solve the same problem: How do we help customers make decisions with more confidence? That's why I believe we're entering a new era for beauty. 💫 An era where: - personalization becomes infrastructure; - AI becomes invisible; - customer confidence becomes a KPI; - and helping people choose becomes as important as what they choose. Looking at the conversations happening across Cosmoprof events globally - from Bologna to Las Vegas - one thing feels increasingly clear: ❤️🔥 We're still incredibly early. Most of the infrastructure for AI-powered beauty hasn't been built yet. And that's what makes this such an exciting industry to be building in. Curious to hear from those attending Cosmoprof North America this week: What's the biggest trend you're seeing on the floor? iHairium #CosmoprofNorthAmerica #LasVegas #BeautyTech #BeautyCommerce #AI #Personalization #Innovation

  • One insight stood out while reading this report: Beauty is shifting from products to personalized care journeys. Customers no longer want generic recommendations. They expect confidence before they buy, measurable outcomes, and experiences tailored to their individual needs. The same shift is already happening in hair and scalp health. AI diagnostics, personalization, and guided commerce are becoming a new infrastructure layer for beauty brands, retailers, and clinics. That's exactly the future we're building at iHairium.

  • The U.S. market has always been one of the strongest environments for building and scaling new technology categories. For iHairium, this is especially important as we continue building AI diagnostics and personalization infrastructure for beauty commerce, haircare brands, marketplaces, salons, and wellness platforms. The opportunity ahead is not only about AI. It is about helping businesses turn personalization into measurable outcomes: better customer confidence, higher conversion, stronger retention, and more scalable product discovery. Happy Independence Day to our partners, clients, and friends in the United States.

Today is the 4th of July in the United States. For me, as a founder building a global AI company, this day is a reminder of something bigger than celebration. America has always been one of the few markets where a small team with a strong vision can build infrastructure for an entire industry. Not because it is easy. But because the market rewards ambition, speed, and category creation. At iHairium, we're building AI diagnostics and personalization infrastructure for hair and scalp health — starting with beauty commerce, haircare brands, marketplaces, salons, and wellness platforms. The beauty industry is changing. Customers want more confidence before they buy. Brands need better personalization. Marketplaces need smarter product discovery. Salons need new revenue beyond services. And AI is becoming a new layer between customer needs and business outcomes. That's why the U.S. market is so important for us. It is not only a market. It is a place where new categories can be built, tested, challenged, and scaled globally. Happy Independence Day to everyone in the U.S. And to all founders building something from zero: freedom to build is one of the most powerful forces in business. #IndependenceDay #Startups #BeautyTech #AI #Personalization #SaaS

  • Innovation often reaches the market in two stages. First, companies discover that something is possible. Then they begin asking how to apply it to create measurable business value. At Cosmoprof, we saw clear signs that beauty brands are entering that second stage when it comes to AI-powered personalization.

Six months ago, if you had asked me what business we're in, I would have answered: "AI diagnostics." Today, I would answer very differently. I think we're watching the birth of an entirely new infrastructure layer for the beauty industry. And I don't think most people realize it yet. The realization didn't come from one customer. Or one exhibition. Or one investor meeting. It came from hundreds of conversations with beauty brands, marketplaces, distributors, and salon chains across different countries. What surprised me wasn't how different these companies were. It was how similar their problems had become. Everyone is struggling with customer decision-making. Brands want higher conversion and repeat purchases. Marketplaces need better product discovery. Salon chains are looking for new revenue beyond services. Distributors are searching for ways to help brands sell more. Different business models. The same underlying problem. That's when I stopped thinking about AI diagnostics as a product. And started thinking about it as infrastructure. Twenty years ago, companies needed websites. Fifteen years ago, they needed e-commerce platforms. Ten years ago, they invested in CRMs. I believe the next foundational layer for beauty will be personalization. Not because AI is trendy. Because helping customers make better decisions is becoming a competitive advantage. The companies that build this layer won't simply recommend products. They'll connect customer understanding, commerce, recommendations, and long-term relationships into a single system. That's why I believe we're still incredibly early. Many companies are only beginning to discover what's possible. The biggest winners may not be those with the best algorithms. They may be the ones who define how this entire category works. And for founders, those are usually the most exciting markets to build in. Do you think personalization will become as fundamental to beauty as CRM became to sales? iHairium #BeautyTech #Personalization #AI #BeautyCommerce #SaaS

  • One of the strongest signals from Cosmoprof was the growing demand for better customer decision-making experiences. Across conversations with brands, distributors, and marketplaces, a common theme emerged: Companies are actively looking for ways to improve personalization outcomes while reducing friction for consumers. The industry is moving beyond awareness and into implementation.

We generated more than 80 leads at Cosmoprof Bologna. But that wasn't the most important outcome. In fact, if I had to summarize the event in one sentence, it would be this: The market is moving faster than most people realize. One example. At the exhibition, we met a Korean beauty company. They manufacture haircare products, work with distributors, salons, and professional channels, and were actively looking for ways to improve how customers discover and choose products. What caught my attention wasn't their interest in AI. It was the fact that they were already thinking about the exact problem we were solving. The conversation started at the exhibition. A few hours later, we had a signed agreement and our first payment. But that wasn't the real signal either. The real signal was how often similar conversations happened throughout the week. Different countries. Different brands. Different business models. Yet many of them were asking variations of the same question: "How do we help customers make better decisions?" Some companies already had quizzes. Some had recommendation engines. Some had consultation flows. Yet many were still searching for the next layer of personalization. Another thing surprised me. Walking through the halls of one of the world's largest beauty exhibitions, we saw countless diagnostic devices, microscopes, imaging systems, and hardware solutions. But very few companies focused on solving the customer decision-making problem through scalable software. That observation stayed with me. Because when you start hearing the same pain points from different markets, different brands, and different business models, it usually means something bigger is happening. The beauty industry isn't just adopting new technology. It's searching for a new decision-making layer. And in my experience, those moments often create the most interesting opportunities. iHairium #BeautyCommerce #BeautyTech #Personalization #AI #EcommerceGrowth

  • One of the clearest signals from Cosmoprof was the industry's growing focus on measurable personalization outcomes. The conversation is increasingly shifting away from technology itself and toward the business impact technology can create. As beauty brands continue to expand product portfolios and customer expectations rise, helping consumers make better decisions is becoming a strategic priority.

💫 We came to Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna expecting to talk about AI. We left talking about customer decision-making. That was the biggest surprise. Over four days, we met with beauty brands, distributors, manufacturers, salon groups, and marketplace operators from around the world. Some conversations lasted 5 minutes. Others turned into follow-up meetings, demos, and commercial discussions. But looking back, a few patterns appeared again and again. ➕ The first surprise: Many brands were genuinely shocked that hair and scalp analysis could be performed using only a smartphone. Not because they didn't believe in AI. Because they simply didn't know this was already possible. ➕ The second surprise: Several companies told us they had already invested heavily in personalization. Some had built sophisticated recommendation funnels. Some had quizzes with 20–30 dynamic questions. Yet many were still searching for the next step. Not because personalization wasn't working. Because they felt they were reaching a ceiling. ➕ The third surprise: Very few people questioned whether personalization matters. Almost nobody challenged the concept. Instead, the questions sounded like: "Will it improve conversion?" "Can it increase repeat purchases?" "Can we test it?" "Can it work with our existing customer journey?" That distinction is important. A few years ago, conversations around AI were often about possibility. Today, the conversation is about implementation and measurable business impact. 💯 For me, that was the strongest signal from Cosmoprof. The beauty industry has largely accepted that personalization is important. Now it's trying to figure out what the next generation of personalization looks like. And that's why this moment feels so interesting. We're no longer discussing whether customer decision-making matters. We're discussing how to improve it. What surprised me most wasn't the technology. It was how ready the market already seems to be. iHairium #BeautyCommerce #Personalization #BeautyTech #EcommerceGrowth #CustomerExperience

  • When a team of trichologists, dermatologists, technologists, and pharmacologists tells you your AI is "very smart," you pay attention. Because they didn't start as believers. They started as skeptics. One of the questions we hear most often from brands is: "Can AI really be trusted when it comes to hair and scalp diagnostics?" It's a fair question. Especially when your business is built on science, expert knowledge, and years of experience. That's why feedback like this means so much to us. Our client develops products by analyzing the root causes of hair and scalp conditions, not just the symptoms. Their team includes practicing trichologists, dermatologists, technologists, and pharmacologists. When they first started working with iHairium, they didn't simply accept the technology. They tested it. They compared the AI's conclusions with assessments from their own specialists. They challenged it. They looked for weaknesses. And their verdict? "It is very smart." Today, they use iHairium at exhibitions, events, educational programs, and customer consultations. In some markets where access to practicing trichologists is limited, the platform helps provide guidance that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. For us, this is one of the strongest forms of validation. Not because AI replaces experts. But because it shows what happens when technology and expertise work together. The future of personalized haircare won't be built by AI alone. It will be built through the combination of scientific expertise, clinical knowledge, and scalable technology. We're grateful to work with partners who challenge our technology and help us improve it every day. 🎥 Watch the video below to hear their experience in their own words. #BeautyTech #HaircareInnovation #Personalization #ArtificialIntelligence #Trichology #CustomerExperience #iHairium #SaaS

  • One of the most common assumptions we encounter is that hair and scalp analysis requires specialized hardware. The reality is that advances in computer vision are making entirely new customer experiences possible through devices people already use every day. As personalization becomes a bigger priority for brands, simplicity and accessibility may become just as important as accuracy.

The biggest misconception about AI in beauty isn't accuracy. It's hardware. At both Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna and BEAUTYISTANBUL Exhibition, we kept hearing the same assumption: "So where is the device?" Many people expected: - a microscope, - a trichoscope, - a dedicated scanner, - specialized hardware. When we showed them a smartphone instead, the conversation changed instantly. Not because the technology suddenly became more impressive. Because it suddenly became practical. One of the most interesting observations from the last few months is that many beauty brands already believe in personalization. Many already use: - quizzes, - consultations, - recommendation flows, - customer surveys. The challenge isn't convincing them personalization matters. The challenge is helping them deliver it in a way that customers actually want to use. And customers rarely wake up excited to answer 30 questions. They rarely want to buy additional equipment. They rarely want extra steps. They want answers. Fast. Simple. Relevant. That's why the strongest reactions we saw at both exhibitions weren't about AI itself. They happened when people realized the experience could start with a device every customer already has in their pocket. A smartphone. One comment we heard repeatedly was: "I didn't know this was even possible." For me, that's one of the strongest signals that this category is still incredibly early. The demand is already there. The problem is that most people don't yet know what's possible. And that's exactly why the next few years in beauty personalization may become so interesting. Not because AI is new. But because friction is disappearing. The companies that remove friction from customer decision-making will have a massive advantage. Because customers don't want more technology. They want less effort. What do you think is the biggest barrier preventing beauty brands from adopting new personalization tools today? iHairium #BeautyCommerce #BeautyTech #Personalization #CustomerExperience #EcommerceGrowth

  • The beauty industry has already embraced personalization. The challenge now is making personalization more accurate, scalable, and effortless for consumers. Across conversations with brands, distributors, and marketplaces, one trend continues to emerge: companies are searching for ways to help customers make faster and more confident decisions. The next chapter of beauty commerce may not be about offering more choices. It may be about helping customers navigate those choices more effectively.

For years, personalization in beauty meant one thing: Quizzes. "What is your hair type?" "What is your biggest concern?" "How often do you wash your hair?" The idea was simple: Ask enough questions and eventually you'll recommend the right product. And to be fair, quizzes worked. In many cases, they still do. But after speaking with dozens of beauty brands over the past few months - at Cosmoprof Bologna, Beauty Istanbul, and in countless follow-up meetings, I noticed something interesting. The conversation has changed. A few years ago, brands were asking: "Should we personalize the customer journey?" Today they're asking: "How do we improve the personalization we already have?" Several companies told us they had spent years refining their recommendation flows. Some had built sophisticated funnels with 20–30 dynamic questions. Some had invested heavily in consultants, UX, and optimization. Yet many described a similar challenge: - The improvements were becoming smaller. - Completion rates were difficult to increase. - Conversion gains were harder to find. - Customers were abandoning long flows. In other words: The first generation of personalization is starting to hit its limits. Not because personalization stopped working. Because customer expectations changed. Today's customer wants: - less effort, - faster answers, - more confidence, - more relevance. And brands know it. One of the most interesting things I observed at Cosmoprof wasn't excitement about AI itself. It was how many brands were actively looking for the next layer of personalization. Not because quizzes failed. But because they want to move beyond them. The future of beauty personalization probably won't be about asking customers more questions. It will be about understanding customers with less friction. That's why I believe we're entering what I call: The Post-Quiz Era. An era where the winners won't necessarily be the brands with the most products. They'll be the brands that make decisions easier. Because customers don't buy products. They buy confidence. And confidence is becoming one of the most valuable assets in beauty commerce. What do you think? Will quizzes remain the dominant personalization tool over the next 5 years, or are we entering the next phase already? iHairium #BeautyCommerce #Personalization #BeautyTech #EcommerceGrowth #CustomerExperience

  • One of the most recurring themes we heard at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna: Many beauty brands already believe in personalization. The challenge is no longer whether to personalize. The challenge is how to do it in a scalable and measurable way. We believe the next generation of beauty commerce will be built around decision confidence, helping every customer find the right solution faster and with greater trust.

At Cosmoprof Bologna, we spoke with dozens of beauty brands, from emerging DTC companies to some of the largest global players. I expected conversations about AI. Instead, almost every discussion came back to the same problem: Customers don't know what to buy. Not because there aren't enough products. Because there are too many. For years, beauty brands solved this with: - quizzes, - consultants, - product finders, - educational content. But many teams told us something interesting: "We've reached the limit of what quizzes can do." Some brands have already built highly sophisticated personalization funnels with 20–30 dynamic questions. Yet conversion improvements have started to plateau. At the same time: • Customer acquisition costs continue to rise • Product portfolios continue to expand • Consumers expect more personalization than ever This is why I believe beauty is entering a new phase. The next competitive advantage won't come from adding more products. It will come from helping customers make better decisions. We saw this repeatedly at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna. Many brands were surprised that a hair & scalp assessment could be performed using only a smartphone. Not because they doubted the technology. Because they hadn't considered that decision-making itself could become a product layer. My biggest takeaway from Cosmoprof: Beauty is becoming decision-driven. And the companies that help customers choose with confidence will have a major advantage over the next few years. Curious to hear: How are brands currently approaching personalization beyond traditional quizzes? iHairium #BeautyCommerce #Personalization #CommerceInfrastructure #BeautyTech #Ecommerce
