In an eerie future, can this prophecy be extended to humans? The market has been extending the concept of digital twins to people, including consumers and even oneself (to attend meetings, reply e-mails and who knows, a presence after they are gone). When in doubt, clone it out 👯 Digital twins, or virtual representations of people, places + things, are having a moment in the industry right now as businesses leverage the technology to test-drive different business decisions in a low-stakes environment. CVS Health is one of the many companies taking advantage of the simulation technology. It currently has more than 100,000 digital twins, which are known internally as agentic twins, helping it to improve customer experiences. We often tell customers and prospects that pure 3D digital twins are probably a bad idea. 3D is great for some use cases and we support it in Hopara, however relying exclusively on it makes it harder to see, understand, and interact with information at scale. When it comes to information systems that scale, a great example is Google Maps. In a simple and intuitive interface, it enables users to navigate billions of addresses and millions of roads with the context they need to understand their surroundings.
