The time has come 🎬 🦐 📣The 9th edition of the Santorini Film Festival is here! From 3–5 July, join us at Cine Kamari for three days of independent cinema, conversations, and stories from around the world. This year’s theme, “ONCE MORE WITH FEELING,” celebrates cinema’s remarkable ability to return to familiar territories and reveal something new each time. Our 2026 programme brings together films that reconstruct reality in unique ways. Through different voices and cinematic languages, they explore relationships, identities, places, and bonds that resist easy conclusions. Some are tender, some restless, some playful, some devastating. To do something once more is never to do it the same way. Every screening is a return—where emotions are reawakened, images are rediscovered, and stories find new meaning with every audience. On the 8th of April, we will be participating at the Reset! Forum: Digital Independence in Athens, Greece, with a curated selection of short films. After the screening, a moderated discussion on digital ethics in the cultural sphere with HFP's General Manager, Ioannis Tellis, will follow. The first two HFP Film Festivals for 2026 are about to take place and we can't wait! 🇨🇿 First in the row, the Prague Film Awards, which will take place on the 20th of February at the Kino Světozor, with a rich programme of feature and short films. 🇮🇹 Then, we head to Florence for the 8th Firenze Film Festival, where more indie gems will be screened at the Institut français Florence. We are looking forward to welcoming cinephiles and filmmakers, once again discovering independent cinema together. ✨

As we head in 2026, we look back to 8th Athens Short Film Festival, which concluded the 2025 festival season in the most creative and inspiring way. ✨✨ Last year was full of changes, new beginnings, successes and challenges. Did you know that the Athens Short Film Festival kicked off yesterday and will run until Sunday? >> 45 films by filmmakers from 22 countries, Q&As with Greek and foreign filmmakers, a cinema workshop for young cinephiles and aspiring film critics, and a closing party on Sunday will take place during ASFF2025. It's been a while since our last update last but the Festival started strong! 🚀 If you have missed our latest news, this is what we have been up to over the last few months: 📽️ In August, we held the Oslo Short Film Festival and the Dublin Independent Film Festival, kicking off the 2025 - 2026 season with two amazing cinematic events. 📆 September was all about Italy. The Rome Independent Film Festival 2025 took place at our favourite Casa del Cinema, where we had the pleasure to welcome some of this year's nominated filmmakers on stage. 🍂 Here we are today! Welcoming October with two special Festivals. The Annual Copenhagen Film Festival, which is HFP's first Festival taking place for 9 years in a row and the Echoes Film Festival, which is the newest addition to our festival series, and is currently on its 3rd edition. Remember we told you that in July, we head to the Cyclades for the Santorini Film Festival? Well, here is a glimpse of the three-day cinematic event. It was an amazing 8th SFF with a buzzing audience of locals and foreigners at the open-air Cine Kamari, young cinephiles eager to take their first steps in cinematography at the Tomato Industrial Museum 'D.Nomikos' and all the friends and beloved faces we've met throughout the years.
