Holey moley, Iliyana Shoushounova knows A LOT about SEO and AEO! Iliyana joined Natalie Czerwinski on yesterday's HeyOrca webinar and laid out actionable strategies and ideas around SEO and AEO for social media managers. She explained things in a very matter-of-fact way that made these usually complex concepts seem easy. I was REALLY interested in this webinar, as I am an SEO and AEO nerd myself. I have Landmark Abstract's website optimized and ready. I also wanted to hear what Iliyana had to say about this subject and to learn new ideas. One things I LOVED about the webinar was Iliyana's list of actionable items that she gave us at the end of the webinar. It was a good reminder for myself to re-examine the websites I manage. How do you use SEO and AEO as a social media manager? Or in general?

    • A webinar slide lists five post-webinar content strategies, including adding tables of contents, using question-based headings, adding FAQs, refreshing content, and repurposing social media posts. To the right, two women appear in a video call.

You can't have AEO without SEO 👀 Something as simple as website formatting, including the use of headings, and having no orphaned pages (pages that don't link anywhere) can help optimise your content for AI visibility and search. Such an insightful HeyOrca webinar this week from Iliyana Shoushounova, HeyOrca's Content Marketing Manager, about optimising your content for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). So many incredible insights within this webinar - let's just say we have many pages of notes from this one! 👏 Iliyana really put into perspective how making simple changes to your content can help AI better understand it, increasing the chance of your content appearing as a source in AI search results. For example: ➡️Adding a table of contents at the top of your article. ➡️Using question-based headings. ➡️Including short but concise FAQs. ➡️Refreshing older content regularly. ➡️Following a clear SEO heading hierarchy throughout your content. However, one of the key takeaways from this session was that, while it's important to optimise your content for AI, you still should be writing for people too. #HeyOrca #AEO #SEO #DigitalContentOfficer #DigitalContent

Is all this talk about SEO, AEO, LLMs, and AI Overviews stressing you out? 🥴 If so, it's okay! It's a lot happening all at once, and it can be difficult to know what to do, what to fix first, and where to put your energy. HeyOrca hosted a fun webinar on "SEO and AEO for Social Media Managers" (led by Iliyana Shoushounova), and I grabbed this screenshot. I LOVE this list of easy wins to focus on within your organization's blog and social. I figured I'd share it with my fellow marketing friends 💕 - Where are you at with SEO and AEO? - Anything you're struggling with? 🤔 - Any big content optimization goals this year?

  • Go listen to Stephanie Crombie drop SO many amazing tips 🤓

Company culture isn't built during annual retreats. It's built in the small moments employees experience every single day. In Episode 298 of Success Leaves Clues, Stephanie Crombie, Employee Experience Manager at HeyOrca, shares why creating a workplace where people feel seen, valued, and connected has become one of the biggest competitive advantages a company can have. From thoughtful onboarding to personalized recognition, Stephanie explains why employee experience isn't about bigger budgets or better perks. It's about intentionally designing moments that make people want to stay. We talk about: ➡️ Why employee experience starts on day one ➡️ How remote companies can build genuine cultures of belonging ➡️ Why personalization matters more than generic perks ➡️ The power of recognizing effort, not just outcomes ➡️ How leaders can create workplaces people don't want to leave "People will remember how you made them feel more than the metric you moved on a spreadsheet." A valuable conversation for CEOs, founders, HR leaders, and anyone building teams in today's evolving workplace. 🎧 Catch the full conversation on Success Leaves Clues: https://lnkd.in/gkDmDd4d  ➡️ Or subscribe to our YouTube Channel: https://lnkd.in/dnRNuty3 #Leadership #EmployeeExperience #WorkplaceCulture #PeopleLeadership #FutureOfWork #SuccessLeavesClues

  • New HeyOrca Academy course coming soon!

Did you know I went to a film camp when I was 14? 📽️  I learned how to write, direct, record, and edit during this time – which is what eventually led me to writing long-form content. Flash forward to this year, when I went to Newfoundland, I had the honour of leading and directing the production of our upcoming HeyOrca Academy course. It's so cool how things I am passionate about (filmography, script writing, directing, etc.) get carried over to my job in ways I never would've imagined! Despite my path taking me into content marketing (and novel writing!!) I am very glad for the skills I learned during my film journey, and how I was able to apply them to help my team with this project. Stay tuned for the course! 🐳

I have a whale of a tale to tell you. But it's true! When I started out as a social media here at Landmark Abstract, I started out with very little. I had a few files, some login information, and a legal pad page of notes that I was given. Despite that, I still got my hands dirty immediately and got to work. One thing that was missing from my starting materials was a way to post and schedule content easily. I had a "free" Hootsuite account that I had inherited, but it was very limiting, and not long after that Hootsuite eliminated their free account all together. Essentially, I was scheduling posts per platform, using Meta Business Suite 😭 , and using LinkedIn's built-in scheduler. It was cumbersome and frustrating. One day while researching content ideas, I came across a blog post by HeyOrca. And saw they had a daily newsletter. I figured it couldn't hurt to sign up. So I did. Well, you probably know the rest. I'm a proud customer! HeyOrca offered a solution that saved me a lot of time and headaches by streamlining my content scheduling and reporting. I can glance at their reports and get an excellent idea of what's going. Guys, if you struggling with your social media scheduler, HeyOrca does offer a free solo plan that is pretty generous! It's what I used to schedule this very post. Take a look and give them a try. #JoinThePod
