Today is International Ski Patrol Day, a day to honor the professionals who are the backbone of mountain safety. 🏔️ Being a ski patroller is far more than just a job; it’s a commitment to being at your best when the environment is at its worst. It means long hours in the most uncomfortable conditions. It requires immense mental grit, physical resilience to haul heavy gear across thousands of vertical feet, and a "care-first" mindset in high-pressure situations. From being the first ones up in the pre-dawn cold to the last ones down after sweep, we thank these lifesaving heroes for their dedication. At Helly Hansen, our Grassroots Program exists to support the next generation of freeride athletes—creating meaningful opportunities, building confidence, and surrounding young skiers with mentorship both on and off the mountain ⛷️ This year, we carried on our annual ski day tradition at Whistler Blackcomb with the full Grassroots crew alongside HH ambassadors Gavin Phillipson, Simon Hillis, and Jeff Ashton.
