A brand wants to expand at your flagship location. You used to say yes or no based on intuition. Now you have data: "34 seconds dwell time. Expansion not justified." That's SpaceSight at work. Dover Street Market uses camera data to measure which zones drive navigation and customer dwell time. Suddenly, brand expansion conversations shift from aspiration to reality. Co-marketing investments become tactical and data-backed. This is what happens when retail spaces become measurable. Thank you Glen Tan for sharing how SpaceSight transforms brand negotiations. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁. 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀. That’s why we’re excited to partner with HSITP Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park on our joint Venture Partner Programme. For many technology startups, the biggest challenge is not building the product. It’s finding the right mix of commercial significance, customer access, and geographical expansion pathways, to grow out of the home market and into overseas markets. This is where partnerships matter. HSITP is building a vibrant cross-border innovation ecosystem across sectors including AI and data science, new energy, new materials, microelectronics, and robotics. Positioned as a “super connector,” it bridges the Greater Bay Area (GBA) with international markets. For us at MTR Lab, this partnership provides earlier visibility into high-potential investment targets that have proven their product-market fit and come into the scaling phase in a fast-evolving ecosystem like HSITP. From a startup perspective, this is about much more than just capital. Founders need sharper feedback, real commercial pathways, strategic connections, and access to the right conversations early enough to make a difference. That’s what we hope this programme can help unlock. The timing is also right. The Shenzhen–Hong Kong–Guangzhou cluster ranked No. 1 globally in the 2025 WIPO Global Innovation Index cluster ranking — a strong endorsement that this region is an ininnovation power engine. The mission now is to help more of it scale. We’re looking forward to working with HSITP to support more ventures as they move from promising technology to real market traction. Nine states passed workplace violence prevention laws in 18 months. Federal OSHA is developing a national standard. 53% of retail workers who've experienced violence are considering leaving. 38% of Gen Z retail workers have witnessed violence in the last five years. The new laws mandate prevention plans and training. Necessary, but reactive. The real window is before escalation - when behavioral signals first appear on camera. AI monitoring existing infrastructure can detect those patterns early, giving teams time to intervene safely before situations compound. Compliance meets the legal floor. Early detection raises it. There are different levels of what AI can do in your business. L1: AI handles basic tasks. Store audits, compliance checks, data collection. L2-L3: AI learns from your top performers and coaches your team. Takes over the repetitive work so humans focus on strategy. L4: AI and humans run the business together. AI managers making data-driven decisions across operations. L5: Fully autonomous. The AI CEO does the job. You sit back and relax. That last one is Jerry's dream. Here's what matters: not every organization is ready for L5 (and maybe that's fine). But the companies that will win are the ones building toward it - starting with L1 measurement and data collection, gradually increasing AI autonomy as they gain confidence and capability. The data you collect today determines what your AI partner can become tomorrow. Watch Jerry Ye break down the levels 👇 #AI #EnterpriseAI #Alivia #FutureOfWork #NRF #Whale

84% of retail sales happen in-store. Less than 1% of retail media ad spend. The gap isn't interest. It's measurement. Brands can't prove in-store ads work because retailers can't measure screen viewership. Computer vision closes that gap — measuring attention duration, audience composition, real impressions — the same way digital campaigns are measured. Retailers building this capability now will capture billions in brand budgets looking for a credible in-store option. Read why measurement unlocks the opportunity below or visit https://lnkd.in/gQuyXU6b #RetailMedia #Measurement #ComputerVision #InStoreAdvertising

Long queues aren't just inconvenient. They're complaints waiting to happen. Here's how AI changes the math: Real-time queue prediction means you can optimize staffing before the rush hits. But the real insight is this: online and offline customers have different tolerance levels. When there's a queue, pause online orders and let in-store customers through first. Online customers can wait 20 minutes and switch stores. In-store customers waiting 20 minutes? That's a complaint. When you optimize for this distinction, something shifts. Complaint rates drop 33%. Order fulfillment within 5 minutes hits 91%. It's not about moving faster. It's about understanding what actually matters to each customer at each moment. This is operational intelligence in practice. Watch the clip from NRF 👇 #QueueManagement #OperationalAI #CustomerExperience #Retail #Whale

Across 27 hotels, one theme kept coming up: 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. As part of Stack-EZ's curated hotel stack, we run the AI Voice & Video Analytics layer, giving managers a clear view of both what's happening on the ground and what guests are actually saying. 👁️ See — on the video side, that's everything unfolding across the property: queues, guest flow, housekeeping delays, safety and SOP compliance. 👂 Hear — on the voice side, it's what really matters in frontline conversations: guest intent, service quality, upsell signals and coaching needs. Great hotel teams already know what good service looks like. Our job is simply to give them the visibility to deliver it, shift after shift. Which part of your operation would you want AI to quietly take off your plate first? 👇 Learn more 👉 whale.sg #HotelInnovation #HospitalityTech #AIinHospitality #HotelOperations #GuestExperience #SmartHotels #Singtel #StackEZ #Whale #EnterpriseAI

$90 billion in retail shrink last year. $66 billion of it was preventable. The cameras were there. The losses happened anyway. That's not a technology gap — it's a structural one. Most loss prevention systems are built to collect evidence, not stop incidents. By the time footage is reviewed, the loss is already permanent. AI changes the equation. Not by adding more cameras — but by making the ones you already have respond in real time. We broke down what's driving shrink, why ORC is a different problem entirely, and what actually shifts when AI handles detection.
