Most people have a tape like this somewhere in their home. Labeled. Important. Untouched for years. The problem isn’t that it doesn’t matter. It’s that there’s no easy way to watch it anymore. In this first edition of "Rescue Photos, Videos & More", we walk through exactly how to watch old VHS tapes today—and the safest way to preserve them before they’re lost. If you’ve got a box of tapes sitting in a closet, this is for you.

👉 Read this 5-star Google review from Lisa Brown: https://lnkd.in/eFxGmFDA Memories aren’t meant to sit in boxes, fade on tape, or disappear on old devices. They’re meant to be shared. When families can relive the moments that shaped them, together, distance disappears and generations reconnect. This is why we do what we do. Protect what matters. Share what matters. #FamilyMemories #DigitalLegacy #HeirloomCloud #PreserveYourStory

We’re excited to welcome Rick Case to the Board of Advisors. Rick is a three-time founder with nearly three decades of experience helping early-stage companies turn strong ideas into market-ready products. He’s built and scaled consumer businesses from zero to nine-figure outcomes, including a $100M-per-year company that ultimately exited to Philips Electronics. As an advisor, Rick will be a strategic sounding board to our leadership team and will be helpful in making thoughtful introductions within his network—connections that can accelerate learning, partnerships, and responsible growth as we scale Heirloom’s mission to preserve what matters most. We’re grateful for Rick’s willingness to share his time, experience, and perspective, and we’re looking forward to building together. Welcome, Rick! Every family has a box of photos like this one. A moment frozen in time. A celebration. A father looking proudly at the camera. Kids in paper hats. A table full of stories no one wanted to forget. But moments like these don’t last forever on film, paper, or magnetic tape. At Heirloom, we help families rejoice in these memories again—not hidden in attics or closets, but preserved, shared, and cherished in a secure, private digital home. Because protecting the past isn’t nostalgia… it’s stewardship. If you’ve discovered old photos, slides, VHS tapes, or reels that haven’t been seen in years, we’d be honored to help bring them back to life for the people who matter most. 📼 Any format, any decade ☁️ Stream safely in your digital vaulr ❤️ No memory left behind Let’s make sure your family’s stories continue to shine.

What happens when your daughter’s back-to-school photo becomes bait for engagement? This isn’t just another headline about Meta—it’s a wake-up call. If healthy communities are built on trust, then habitual line-crossing by Big Tech erodes the very foundation. At Heirloom, we believe your family’s memories are sacred. They should never be mined, manipulated, or turned into “recommendation tools.” That’s why we’re building a different kind of network—one where #privacy is the default, sharing is intentional, and joy is the only currency. Because memories should connect us, not exploit us.
Yes, you read that right, Meta is using that photo of your teenage daughter in her school uniform to bait middle-aged men. Meta's response? "The images shared do not violate our policies and are back-to-school photos posted publicly by parents". It's no longer a back-to-school photo, it's a "recommendation tool", and your daughter is the "suggested thread". Why are your posts Public? Is your daughter's profile Public? Review your privacy settings now. And perhaps it's time to read those pesky T&C's. #privacy #dataprotection #gdpr
