    My video editor just sent me this 23-second gem from a testimonial series we’re working on. “If Hatch disappeared tomorrow… it would be quite sad, there would be a mourning period and there would be a hole in the market.” 🤯 Basically, It’s come to the point where Hatch is their “go-to” and they literally couldn’t work without it. I’ll be honest…when i first watched this clip, i felt really good. One of those “this is why I do this” moments. It also made me reflect on the last 5 years of building Hatch. We talk a lot about getting to product-market fit. And for a second there, watching this video, I was like… “did we just get there, like for real??” But the truth is—it’s not binary. It’s a ladder. At first, you think you have it when you land your first customers. Then a few months later, some churn. Or they’re not really using it the way you imagined. Or you realize you sold something that isn’t fully there yet. So you iterate. You climb. And then, one day, you hear a customer say: “I can’t imagine doing my work without this.” That’s a different level. That’s when you’re no longer a tool—you’re part of their workflow. Part of how they operate. When I saw this video, I thought: “Wow… maybe this is the highest level of product-market fit.” But the truth is—it’s not. Because product-market fit is never finished. Even when customers can’t live without you, you still have to keep them there. You have to keep earning that spot…every day! Technology shifts. Expectations evolve. AI is literally rewriting the rules in real time. Kodak, Xerox, Blockbuster, and BlackBerry all had product-market fit… until they didn’t. So to every founder out there: Celebrate the moments where it clicks. Where customers love you. Need you. Depend on you. But don’t get comfortable. Because this game doesn’t end. You don’t “arrive” at product-market fit. You climb… and then you keep climbing. Welcome to building something that actually matters.
