Shout out to GRN Vision for putting sustainability in every product evaluation and hitting home runs like LEED PLATINUM. The latest - a medical education building for the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Medical Education Building! It takes a lot of small, rigorous, courageous material decisions to get to this level of LEED! Rick Van Diepen Ruddy Rodriguez Kristina White Paul Shahriari Abid Saifee
Recently, Ruddy Rodriguez, Kristina White, and I had the opportunity to celebrate the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Medical Education Building earning LEED Platinum Certification. Standing in that room, I couldn't help but think about how many people contributed to reaching this milestone. Projects like this don't happen because of one company or one individual. They happen because architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, owners, and sustainability professionals stay committed to the same vision over many years. It was great celebrating alongside our project partners from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, McKinstry, and everyone who helped bring this project to life. We were also grateful to have Charlie Woodruff and the U.S. Green Building Council team join us in celebrating this achievement. One of the things I enjoy most about this industry is seeing years of collaboration recognized. Knowing that this building will continue to serve future physicians, educators, researchers, and our community for decades makes this achievement even more meaningful. I'm proud that GRN Vision had the opportunity to contribute to this project, and I'm especially grateful for Ruddy Rodriguez's dedication, whose leadership and commitment throughout the LEED certification process played a tremendous role in achieving this milestone. Congratulations to the entire project team. It was a privilege to celebrate this milestone together.
