About us

Global Servants was founded by Dr. Mark Rutland in 1977 as a worldwide, nonprofit missions and ministry organization. He started this ministry with the desire to see lives changed by the power and truth of God’s Word. For more than a quarter of a century, the men and women of Global Servants have risen to the call and gone into the world to preach the good news and spread the love of God. Dr. Mark Rutland’s first trip to Ghana in 1981 began a ministry in West Africa that has had a lasting impact on the people there through village evangelism, church plants, and humanitarian aid. Dr. Rutland’s son, Travis Rutland, is now the International Director in West Africa. In 1988, Global Servants opened House of Grace in Thailand, a rescue home for girls in danger of being bought and sold into prostitution. House of Grace, located in Chiang Rai, has saved hundreds of girls from a tragic existence of child prostitution. Global Servants has reached thousands of people worldwide through crusades, seminars, camps, books, tapes, local evangelism projects, church planting, and leadership training. Over the last three decades, Global Servants has grown into a worldwide missions and evangelism organization with ongoing work in Thailand and Ghana. In the United States, Global Servants sponsors Couples’ Conferences and has an active media ministry with all of Dr. Rutland’s sermon tapes, CDs, videos and books available, including the “Tape-of-the-Week” club.

  • In this episode of the Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 012), I want to challenge you to look beyond the obvious struggles in your life and ask a deeper question: What if the real battle isn't anger, insecurity, addiction, or comparison? What if pride is the hidden root beneath them all? Looking at the story of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel (Genesis 10–11), we'll see how pride separates us from ourselves, from the people around us, and ultimately from God. But where pride destroys, God's grace restores. We'll also walk through Romans 3, Galatians 6, James 3, Proverbs 14, and the Psalms to discover why Scripture calls us to humility and dependence on Christ. No matter what you've done, what you've become, or what you're carrying today, God's answer is not condemnation—it's grace. His grace is sufficient for your past, your present, and your future. I pray this message encourages you to lay down pride, receive His mercy, and walk in the freedom only Jesus can give. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://lnkd.in/dwW5QSbD #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast

  • In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 321), I take you through Paul’s deeply personal letters to the Thessalonians and the powerful hope found in Christ’s return. Beginning in Acts 17 and continuing through 1 Thessalonians 4–5, we discover the heart of a spiritual father who was forced to leave a young church but never stopped caring for them. His message is as relevant today as it was then: Jesus is coming again, the dead in Christ will rise, and believers have a living hope that reaches beyond the grave. In a world filled with fear, uncertainty, and endless speculation about the future, Scripture calls us to something better—faith, readiness, and confidence in God's promises. This message offers comfort for those grieving the loss of loved ones, encouragement for weary believers, and a renewed vision of the glorious reunion awaiting all who belong to Christ. We are children of light, and our hope is anchored in the certainty that our Savior will return. – Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/3QGLr7U #DrMarkRutland #GlobalServants #LeadersNotebook #ChristianLeaders #Leaders #podcast

  • In this episode of The Travis Rutland Podcast (Ep. 011), I take us to 1 Samuel 14 and one of my favorite stories in Scripture—the account of Jonathan and his armor bearer. Together we'll discover what it means to move beyond comfort and into the calling God has placed before us through bold faith, audacious prayer, and courageous action. God rarely asks us to wait for certainty before we obey; He calls us to trust Him, step forward, and believe that He will work on our behalf. Whether you're wrestling with doubt, sensing God calling you into a new season, or wondering what your next step should be, this message will encourage you to stop sitting under the shade of the tree and step into the battle God has prepared for you. When we walk in faith, pray impossible prayers, and obey with courage, we make room for God to do what only He can do. – Travis Rutland Listen: https://lnkd.in/dwW5QSbD #TravisRutland #GlobalServants #podcast

  • In this episode of The Leader’s Notebook (Ep. 320), I open Paul’s letter to the Colossians and address one of the most important questions in all of Christianity: Who is Jesus Christ? Drawing from Colossians 1:11–19, John 1, and other key passages, I examine the biblical truth that Jesus is far more than a teacher, prophet, or miracle worker. He is the eternal Son of God, the visible image of the invisible God, the Creator of all things, and the One in whom the fullness of God dwells. At a time when many are confused about the identity of Christ, this message returns to the bedrock truths of Scripture. If Jesus is truly God, then His sacrifice can save, His blood can redeem, His victory over darkness is complete, and His power is available for every believer today. Join me as we explore why the divinity of Christ is not a secondary doctrine, but the foundation upon which all Christian faith, hope, and salvation stand. - Dr. Mark Rutland Listen: https://bit.ly/4veFQor #DrMarkRutland #GlobalServants #LeadersNotebook #ChristianLeaders #Leaders #podcast
