  • Please join us in congratulating our VP of Business + Fund Development, Ric Brown, on his retirement! Colleagues, clients, friends + family came out to celebrate him at a “beach party” thrown in his honor at the end of May. Ric has served here at GentleBrook for the past seven years, and we are grateful for his deep knowledge of and experience in the DD field as well as his creativity and kindness. We wish him all the best in this next chapter! Congrats, Ric!

Some games aren't about keeping score. ❤️ We had the privilege of spending time with the incredible residents at GentleBrook, helping them hit, field, run the bases, and most importantly, have fun. At GentleBrook, community and connection are at the heart of everything they do, and it was inspiring to see that come to life on the baseball field. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day. Because moments like these remind us that belonging, encouragement, and joy are what truly matter. #ServeDay #BeyondTheRide #ReliaRide #Community #Volunteering

  • We were so honored to attend the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce’s annual LCA Dinner last week to celebrate our CEO, Norm Wengerd, as he accepted the 2025 Legacy Award. Congratulations to all of the award winners, and thank you to Chip + the chamber for the chance to champion our local community {44632 and beyond 😉}! Norm — THANK YOU for all that you have given, not just to GentleBrook, but to the greater community. What a blessing it has been to have you lead our organization for the past 18 years! #teamgentlebrook

Cue the #teamgentlebrook celebration! 🎉 Katie Hartzell has been a dedicated GentleBrook employee for *20* years! She has held many different positions during her tenure here, starting as a RCC at Hartville Meadows and then moving to a HCC position in our workshop. Next, she was part of our supportive employment program. In 2019, she moved into her current position: Payroll Coordinator. We love Katie not only for her meticulous attention to detail and organized work habits (oh to have a desk as clean + orderly as hers!! #goals ), but also for her kind heart and genuine care for her fellow employees, as well as the individuals we serve. Thank you for 20 years of service, Katie! You are an invaluable asset to our team! 💙
