"I chose an LBG truck because I believe it’s the fuel of the future.” 🚛 Pink Lady Transport has chosen liquefied biogas (LBG or bio-LNG) for its asphalt deliveries, driven by a strong commitment to climate goals and future-proof transport solutions. 🌍🌱 When Jessica Nyberg founded Pink Lady Transport AB in 2022, she brought with her over a decade of experience in heavy-duty transport. Based in Väse, Sweden, the company has quickly become known not only for its bold branding, but also for its commitment to sustainable transport. In August 2025, Jessica took delivery of a Volvo FH500 truck powered by liquefied biogas. The investment reflects a growing demand for fossil-free transport across Sweden. A biogas-powered truck provides the necessary range and reliability for demanding operations without the need for charging and while ensuring deliveries arrive on time. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dimW2jKe #Biogas #LBG #Transport #Logistics

Norwegian Fjord1 AS has selected Gasum as LNG supplier for their daily ferry route near Stavanger ⛴️ The Arsvågen–Mortavika ferry connection is an important transport link on the Norwegian west coast. Supplying renewable fuel to one of the world’s northernmost locations. 🌍 Gasum has started delivering liquefied biogas (LBG) to Longyearbyen airport in Svalbard – the most remote location we have supplied so far. Delivered from Risavika via Tromsø, this setup demonstrates that renewable energy solutions can work even where distances are long and infrastructure is limited. 🚢 Svalbard also highlights an important point: in many real-life use cases, energy systems need to combine different solutions. LBG offers a reliable option where electricity alone is not sufficient. ⚡ 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dneVJ8T6 #Biogas #LBG #EnergyTransition

The world’s first LNG bunkering vessel operates in the Port of Turku. Captain Andreas Ask knows the work inside out, with 12 years of experience, two of them in Turku. Fully loaded with gas, Seagas moves calmly through the port area. Steering the vessel is Ask’s favourite part of the job: it requires precision but is rewarding when the large ship is firmly under control. Winter brings its own challenges. Last year, the amount of ice was exceptional, and progress at times required tolerance for uncertainty, yet every day was successfully completed. Originally built in 1974 as a car ferry, Seagas was converted into the world’s first LNG bunkering vessel in Norway in 2012. Today, the vessel is owned by Gasum and operated by Sirius Shipping. Gasum has renewed its Green Finance Framework, which supports the company’s long-term strategic ambition of increasing the availability of renewable gas in the Nordic market and helping customers reduce emissions. 🌱🌍 A Green Finance Framework is a set of principles and criteria that defines the eligibility of projects and investments for financing through green instruments. Gasum’s Green Finance Framework supports investments that advance cleaner energy solutions, with a particular focus on biogas production and distribution. These could be, for example: 🔹 construction of new biogas plants 🔹 investments into distribution infrastructure 🔹 improvements in energy efficiency The framework’s second party opinion, issued by S&P Global Ratings, remains Dark Green, the highest rating. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eu2D_6n6 #Gasum #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #Biogas

FuelEU Maritime’s first reporting year confirmed one key trend: pooling has quickly become central to managing compliance deficits. 🚢⚓ As shipowners completed their first compliance cycle, pooling stood out as a practical option – offering flexibility, cost efficiency and a structured way to avoid penalties. But year one also highlighted some important lessons: 🔹 Early planning matters 🔹 Operational expertise makes a difference 🔹 Transparency and trust are critical when selecting a pooling partner At Gasum, we supported customers throughout the entire process – from pooling services to reporting guidance – helping them navigate a new and evolving regulatory landscape. 🌊 As FuelEU requirements become more ambitious in the coming years, securing a reliable compliance strategy early can help reduce both costs and complexity. 🔗 Read more about the key takeaways from the first year of FuelEU Maritime pooling: https://lnkd.in/eijM5aVY #FuelEUMaritime #Shipping #Pooling #BioLNG #EUETS

The first year of FuelEU Maritime has delivered its verdict: pooling works. What started as a new and largely untested compliance mechanism quickly became the preferred solution for shipowners managing FuelEU compliance deficits. In fact, more than 90% of vessels facing a compliance deficit chose pooling in 2025. 🚢 But the first reporting year also revealed some important lessons: ✔️ Early action reduces complexity and increases flexibility ✔️ Compliance requires more than access to a pool ✔️ Expertise, transparency and trust matter when choosing a partner As both a producer of low-emission marine fuel bio-LNG and a provider of pooling services, Gasum supports shipowners throughout the entire compliance journey—from securing compliance units to navigating reporting requirements. With FuelEU Maritime requirements becoming increasingly stringent in the years ahead, now is the time to assess your compliance strategy and secure the right long-term partner. 🔗 Read some key takeaways from the first year of FuelEU Maritime pooling in this article: https://lnkd.in/dnrbPT47 (for subcription users to Ship.energy) #FuelEUMaritime #Shipping #Maritime #BioLNG

Gasum has secured LNG terminal capacity at the Klaipeda LNG terminal in Lithuania for 2033–2040. This long-term reservation strengthens Gasum’s ability to supply LNG and bio-LNG to the Northwestern European market over the coming decade. ⚓ The Klaipeda terminal is already an important part of Gasum’s supply chain. It is primarily used as a reloading point for the company’s carrier and bunker vessels, while also supporting natural gas operations in Finland and the Baltic countries. Its location complements Gasum’s LNG terminal network in Finland, Sweden, and Norway, and will also support direct deliveries to maritime customers in and around the Danish straits. 📍 🗨️ “Securing capacity at Klaipeda supports Gasum’s strategic long-term supply capability and gives us flexibility in optimizing deliveries to our terminal network and maritime customers,” says Anders Malm, Senior Vice President, Supply & Trading, Gasum. Demand for LNG is expected to grow—especially in maritime—as the number of LNG-powered vessels continues to increase. 🚢 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dDUNS5cV #Gasum #LNG #BioLNG #SupplyChain #Maritime
