Learning has always been about more than the transfer of information. At New Visions for Public Schools, Gallin helped create an environment designed to support the people shaping the future of education. The tools may change. The spaces may evolve. But the purpose remains remarkably familiar: creating environments where people can learn, grow, and succeed. 🔗https://lnkd.in/ey_dA3sA #Gallin140 #ThenAndNow #BuiltInNYC #EducationSpaces #WorkplaceEvolution

When Gallin was founded in 1886, Coca-Cola had just been introduced to the world. Nearly 140 years later, both organizations remain connected by something larger than longevity: the ability to evolve while staying true to the qualities that built their reputations. For Gallin, that has meant helping shape generations of New York workplaces through craftsmanship, collaboration, and trusted relationships. #Gallin140 #OlderThanYouThink #BuiltInNYC

Media & Communication Spaces | The way people communicate and consume information has changed dramatically over the decades and workplaces have evolved alongside it. Earlier office environments prioritized formal layouts and private offices designed around traditional corporate structure. Today, media-driven workplaces often center around collaboration, flexibility, and content creation itself. Open gathering areas, production spaces, integrated technology, and hospitality-inspired environments now support how modern teams work and interact in real time. Through projects spanning multiple generations of New York workplaces, Gallin’s work reflects not only changing design trends, but the evolving industries shaping the city itself. #Gallin140 #BuiltInNYC #NYCConstruction #ThenAndNow

NYC Through the Eyes of Gallin: Watching buildings evolve alongside the city around them. Across Manhattan, older office buildings continue to find new life through repositioning, renovation, and adaptive transformation. Rather than replacing what already exists, many projects now focus on reimagining spaces to meet modern expectations while preserving the character and history that make New York unique. From upgraded infrastructure and hospitality-driven amenities to modernized tenant spaces and enhanced common areas, these transformations reflect a larger shift in how the city approaches commercial real estate. At Gallin, projects like these represent more than renovation they represent the continued reinvention of New York itself. #Gallin140 #BuiltInNYC #CRE #NYCThroughtheEyesofGallin

Building in Active Environments: Building in New York rarely happens in isolation. Many projects take place within fully occupied buildings, active streetscapes, and fast-moving business environments where coordination becomes just as important as construction itself. At Gallin, planning for logistics, phasing, building operations, and tenant experience begins long before construction starts. Careful coordination between ownership, trades, consultants, and building management helps ensure projects move forward efficiently while minimizing disruption. In a city defined by density and constant activity, successful execution depends on understanding not only how to build, but how to build responsibly within the rhythm of New York itself. #Gallin140 #BuiltInNYC #CRE #BuildingInActiveEnvironments

Some of the most valuable knowledge in construction can’t be found in manuals or drawings it’s passed down through experience. At Gallin, generations of team members have shared lessons learned across decades of building in New York City. From project managers and estimators to superintendents and field teams, that continuity creates a culture where experience, trust, and craftsmanship continue to shape every project. Long-term relationships and institutional knowledge have always been one of Gallin’s greatest strengths. It’s part of what allows projects to move forward with confidence, coordination, and consistency no matter how complex the challenge. After 140 years, the legacy continues not just through the work itself, but through the people behind it.
