  • Humber, this is a big one. Grimsby has been shortlisted for the first-ever UK Town of Culture 2028, placing one of our region’s most distinctive towns firmly on the national stage. This is recognition of Grimsby’s heritage, creativity, resilience and ambition, and a moment for the wider Humber region to get behind. Culture has a powerful role to play in shaping how places are seen and felt. It creates pride, supports communities, brings people together and helps tell the stories that attract attention, investment, visitors and talent. For Humber, Grimsby’s shortlisting matters because it strengthens the story we are all working to tell: that this region is full of firsts, full of possibility and full of people making change happen. Congratulations to everyone behind the bid. Let’s show what Grimsby, and Humber, can do. #GY28 #UKTownOfCulture #FutureHumber #Humber #Grimsby #PlacePromotion #Culture #PrideInPlace North East Lincolnshire Council The Culture House Create North East Lincolnshire

  • Places aren't defined by buildings alone. They're defined by the people, creativity and experiences that bring them to life.   That's why we're proud to support this year's Humber Street Sesh, a festival that continues to show the strength of culture, creativity and community across our region.   Culture plays a powerful role in how Humber is seen and felt, but its real impact is in the confidence it creates for people and places. It gives local talent a platform, brings audiences into the heart of the city and supports the shared experiences that build pride in place.   The HEY Creative Culture campaign released earlier this month reinforced the economic and social value culture brings across Hull and East Yorkshire, and Humber Street Sesh brings that value to life in a way that feels unmistakably Humber.   Rooted in local talent, shaped by community and full of the energy that makes this place distinctive, this is culture in action. #Humber #HumberStreetSesh #Culture #PrideInPlace #PlacePromotion #FutureHumber #HEYCreative

  • The strongest place stories aren’t told. They’re demonstrated. For our Annual Bondholder Ambassador Celebration, we wanted the evening to reflect the region we are here to champion. That meant working with Humber businesses who bring quality, creativity and pride to what they do. A huge thank you to Systematic for bringing the event merchandise to life. From the cushions and beer mats to the flags and finishing touches, so many guests noticed the details, and they helped create a real sense of place throughout the evening. Thank you to Awards FC for providing the award trophies, helping us recognise the people and organisations who continue to play an important role in Humber’s story. Thank you to Taphouse Hull for hosting us so brilliantly and for the incredible Pan-Asian style buffet, creating the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere we wanted for our Bondholder community. And thank you to Tom Arran for capturing the energy in the room so well, from the conversations and connections to the people who make this region what it is. The evening was a celebration of our Bondholders, but it was also a reminder of the value of choosing local, backing local and showing Humber through the businesses and people who make it strong. That is how we build confidence in place. #FutureHumber #Humber #Bondholders #PlacePromotion #LocalBusiness #Collaboration

  • Today marked Session 2 of our Humber Leaders Programme, part of Future Humber’s Talent+ programme.   Hosted by Arco: Experts In Safety and led by Felicity King FCCT, the session challenged our cohort to think differently about psychological safety and the role they play in creating it.   The conversation moved beyond theory, exploring the everyday behaviours that build trust, encourage challenge, welcome different perspectives and give people the confidence to speak up, ask questions, make mistakes and keep learning.   The challenge now is to take those behaviours back into our own organisations and turn them into action.   A huge thank you to Felicity for leading such a thought-provoking session, to Arco for hosting us, and to every member of the cohort for bringing openness, curiosity and a willingness to challenge themselves and each other.   That's what Talent+ is all about: developing leaders who don't just grow themselves, but create the conditions for others to thrive too.   #FutureHumber #TalentPlus #HumberLeadersProgramme #LeadershipDevelopment #Humber #EmergingLeaders

The next generation won’t shape Humber’s future if they don’t know the opportunities that exist today. That’s why we were delighted to welcome 16 Year 10 students from Healing Academy HLT to C4DI for an immersive Digital Pathway experience. Taking on a live Future Humber brief, students became digital agencies, developing campaigns to encourage more young people to see Humber as a place to live, study, work and build a future. They also heard from professionals working across branding, design, software and the creative industries, gaining a real insight into the exciting careers available right here in Humber. A huge thank you to Kate Taylor, Jade Wildbore 🤟🏼, Courtney Farrow and Sauce for helping inspire the next generation of creative and digital talent. Building confidence, broadening horizons and connecting young people with real opportunities is how we create lasting impact for Humber. Stephen Logan Steve Hoey #ThisIsHumber

  • Wow, what a night. Our Annual Bondholder Ambassador Celebration was proof that Humber’s greatest strength has always been its people. The evening brought together the organisations and individuals helping shape the future of our region, recognising long-standing commitment, celebrating our Changemakers and, most importantly, bringing together a community that believes in Humber. Congratulations to ACE – Lived Experience (Adrian Ellis), our 2026 Changemakers, and thank you to Back to Ours for an inspiring year before handing over the award. The opportunity is huge, and thankfully, collaboration is very much our thing. #FutureHumber #ThisIsHumber #PlacePromotion

  • 🌟 Every year, our Annual Bondholder Ambassador Celebration shines a spotlight on the organisations making a real difference across Humber. The Future Humber Changemaker Award recognises organisations whose actions are creating opportunities, strengthening communities, championing innovation and helping shape the future of our region. Whether it's a business, charity, CIC, community organisation or grassroots club, the award celebrates those whose impact extends beyond their own organisation and contributes to a stronger Humber. On 25 June, we'll announce our 2026 Changemaker Award winner and celebrate the people, partnerships and progress driving the region forward. Who will take the title this year? Join us at Taphouse as we celebrate the organisations helping shape Humber's future. https://bit.ly/4vSmG7N #FutureHumber #ChangemakerAward #Humber #PrideInPlace #Bondholders

The Humber Leaders Programme is underway. Today, Future Humber welcomed the inaugural cohort of emerging and developing leaders for the first session of our new Talent+ leadership programme. Facilitated by John Harrison, Self-Awareness Through Change encouraged participants to explore how people respond to change, recognise different change states and develop a greater understanding of their own leadership behaviours. Bringing together professionals from across Humber, the programme has been designed to develop the leadership skills needed to build trust, lead through uncertainty and create positive change within organisations and communities. The session sparked open discussion, honest reflection and valuable shared learning, setting the tone for the journey ahead. Thank you to everyone who contributed so openly and thoughtfully throughout the morning. We look forward to welcoming the cohort back on 2 July for Session Two, Psychological Safety and Team Culture, facilitated by Felicity King FCCT. 👉 https://lnkd.in/efgkZ9Z8 #FutureHumber #TalentPlus #HumberLeaders #LeadershipDevelopment #Humber
