  • Thrilled to see this recognition for our incredible partners at Share Our Strength 🏆   Taking home first place in the Digital Acquisition category at the Direct Marketing Fundraisers Association (DMFA) awards is an amazing honor. We launched this campaign during the government shutdown, building a rapid-response digital strategy to ensure No Kid Hungry/Share Our Strength had the support they needed to keep feeding children during an urgent time of need.  Thank you Karen Barr and Anne Bell-Fysh for trusting us with your mission. Proud of this team!

  • The Further team is excited to announce that our new website is live 🎉 We rebuilt it to better reflect the work we do with our clients every day – digital fundraising with purpose, designed to move your program forward in a fast-moving digital landscape.  You’ll find a detailed view of our services, case studies and examples of the industry-leading results we’ve delivered, and a new “Hot Takes” section with our insights on the trends shaping digital fundraising. Take a look around 👉 www.further-digital.com If you're planning to attend the The Nonprofit Alliance & DMAW Nonprofit Fundraisers Symposium next week, keep an eye out for Patrick Frame and give him your feedback on the new site!

  • Some of our peers have been beating an alarmist drum again this week about the impact of AI-driven search. Let’s take a moment on this fine winter Friday to think realistically — and a bit optimistically — about how ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and other AI-driven search experiences are actually affecting fundraising and performance marketing for nonprofits.     Firstly, AI-driven search is most likely not going to cause a decline in donations or revenue across the sector. We may see less gifts credited to organic search in Google Analytics, but this is just an attribution shift. People are going to have more tools to seek and discover charitable causes. Second, nearly all Further clients saw digital gifts and revenue increase in 2025, driven largely by growth in sustainers and new donors. As a result, the long-term net revenue outlook has improved.     In other words, current digital trends remain strong, and what we expect over the long term is not a loss of opportunity, but a shift in where and how it appears. People change the way they discover, evaluate, and choose nonprofits to support. Organizations absolutely should be preparing for these shifts.     Now is the time to become familiar with Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), if you aren’t already. These disciplines are quickly becoming very important. At Further, we’re helping our clients position themselves to capitalize on the opportunities AI-driven search will create for fundraising, supporter engagement, and awareness.     Digital marketing has always rewarded those willing to evolve. Our view is simple: AI-driven search isn’t something to fear — it’s the digital landscape changing once again and opening the door to new advantages for forward-thinking, creative people. This is supposed to be the fun part!    If you’d like to talk more about how AEO and GEO could fit into your strategy, let us know—we’d be happy to set up a conversation.

  • Last night, we were honored to support our friends at Ronald McDonald House New York in person at this year’s Miracle on 73rd Street event. The highlight? Without a doubt, it was Santa himself! Arriving in style aboard a fire engine (great stuff, FDNY!) Santa brought joy (and presents!) to the kids and families staying at the house. As we gear up for the intensity of year end digital fundraising, we’re fueled by witnessing the amazing impact of our clients and their missions! #ClientImpact #CelebrateSuccess #NonprofitFundraising

We're very excited to share that after months of deliberation about how Further could make the world a better place, we've reached a decision. Despite helping dozens of important and highly accountable charities raise millions of dollars in support of their missions over more than a decade, we felt we just weren't quite doing enough. So today we are happy to announce that Further is making Calibri our official font!! This will undoubtedly have long-lasting impacts in the US and around the world and we couldn't be more happy to share the news!

  • This week, Mary Anderson and Shelby Steere headed to Kansas City for NextAfter's 10th annual NIO Summit: Fundraising to the Future. The days were packed with sessions on everything from AI prompts to donor cultivation strategies, and we’re excited to bring these insights back to our clients — turning fresh strategies into stronger campaigns, better creative, and greater impact.   “Roads? Where we’re going we don’t need roads!”   #NIOSummit #DigitalFundraising #FutureOfFundraising

  • Last week, members of our team attended The Nonprofit Alliance's Leadership Summit down in St. Petersburg, Florida! It was a dynamic conference that explored big questions facing the nonprofit sector – trust in the industry, independence and sustainable funding. We’re feeling energized by the new connections, conversations and some friendly competition (congrats to Dan Williams, Elizabeth Saavedra, and the yellow team for winning the team games challenge)! This week at the DAF Giving Summit in D.C., we kept the momentum going by diving into policy updates and strategies to promote giving options to donors. As funding challenges evolve, we’re committed to helping our clients meet them with new strategies and innovation. With year-end fast approaching, now is the time to put these ideas into action. We're here to help! #TNPALeadershipSummit2025 #DAFGivingSummit2025 #NonProfitLeadership #FundraisingStrategy

  • This is a timely reminder. Every year in September (and even October) we get an influx of charities seeking year-end digital campaign assistance. Unfortunately, due to bandwidth, we sometimes have to turn down these short-term opportunities. We hate doing that so this year we're flagging for everyone out there that NOW is the time to reach out to get your year-end campaigns rolling!

It's not too late...but time IS running out.  If you've been thinking about launching a year-end digital campaign, or improving upon last year’s, now is the time to act. Finding success from digital channels doesn't come from just flipping the "on" switch for your campaigns — it requires strategy and planning. That means compelling creative, a smart media mix, targeted audiences, and a team of data-driven marketers who know how to deliver results.   Further’s year-end schedule is booking fast, but we still have a few spots left.  Contact us within the next 10 days and let's make this your most successful year-end yet! #DigitalFundraising #YearEndStrategy #GoFurther
