Case: A tube-fed patient who continued to experience GI intolerance, even after trying multiple formulas. Caregivers were having difficulty maintaining a consistent feeding routine, and finding an option that was both tolerated and aligned with dietary needs remained a challenge. A real food–based peptide formula was introduced as an alternative approach. Within one month, the case reported improved GI tolerance, better overall acceptance, and a more consistent feeding routine. The formula was also adapted to support a modified ketogenic approach, which may be relevant in more complex nutrition plans. This is, of course, a single case. But it offers a useful look at how expanding beyond standard formulas may help support tolerance and day-to-day feasibility in certain patients.
