I’ve been working on a series of blogs answering the questions people are actually thinking about before they invest in a new website. This one is all about whether it’s better to hire a freelancer or work with a web design agency. And honestly, the answer is not as simple as “agency is better” or “freelancer is cheaper”. It depends on what your website needs to do. A freelancer can be a great fit if the project is small, clear and you mainly need one key skill. An agency usually makes more sense when the website needs more structure, SEO thinking, content support, testing, hosting, care and ongoing support. Neither route is wrong. The important thing is understanding what you’re actually getting, what support you’ll need, and what happens after the site goes live. I’ve broken it down properly in the article below... Would love to know what you think, especially if you’ve ever had to choose between going freelance, agency or DIY for your website.
