⚠️If you're running video ads through header bidding, read this ASAP (but definitely before April 30)!! David Sargant over at The AdTech Diary published a well-researched breakdown this week of something most of the industry hasn't noticed yet: a widely-used Prebid Cache endpoint is being shut down at the end of the month, and a significant portion of publishers are still dependent on it without realizing it. What makes this particularly tricky is that the failure is invisible. The auction completes, the bid wins, every reporting dashboard looks normal. But the video creative never actually loads. Revenue just quietly erodes until someone runs a quarterly review and starts asking hard questions. If you or your team touch video #programmatic in any capacity, it's worth checking your Prebid configuration asap.

Quick question for anyone running programmatic campaigns: do you know your True CPM? Not the number your platform reports. The number after you account for the invalid traffic that's inflating your impression count. At a global IVT rate of 20.64%, a $5 CPM becomes closer to $6.30 when you strip out the bots. On a $500K budget, that gap adds up fast. Fraudlogix CPM calculator does both calculations side by side: standard CPM and IVT-adjusted True CPM. 1 in 5 ad impressions is invalid. We publish this report often. The number barely moves. That says something. Our State of Ad Fraud 2026 found a 20.64% global IVT rate across the programmatic ecosystem. After 16 years of monitoring, it's a stubborn stat. A few things that stood out: Internet Explorer: 79% IVT. It was retired in 2022. That's not humans browsing. Windows 8: 76% IVT. Launched in 2012, unsupported since 2023. 🤔 That's suspicious. Europe: 7.8% IVT. Asia-Pacific: 27.85% IVT. Applied to U.S. programmatic spend, that 20.64% rate is roughly $37B in ad dollars tied to invalid traffic annually.
