Two years ago, Victor Boyd and Mohammad Nafisi bought a used forklift and a shed. The plan: make it drive itself. It's now built to move everything everywhere. Here's their story:

You just finished your last exam. You walked out of the room satisfied with the work you put in, & excited for a summer filled with everything you love. The world cup is happening, a new Avengers movie is coming out, the Knicks are in the finals, life is good. You'll return to school in the fall, only a few semesters left before you're gone. Actually, everything's on track. You're probably starting to see your future more clearly then you ever have. Is it what you want? I hope so. If the answer was yes, stop reading here. Good luck If the answer was no, I'd like you reframe how you view your summer break. We often see our vacations as a period to reset, recoup. Give yourself the energy you need to come back to same the work. But that's not what this should be for: This is a photo of Victor Wembanyama. He's arguably the best basketball player in the world, but last year his team was bottom 3 in the league. No one had any expectations coming into this season. Except for him. Over the summer this photo was captured, it's Wemby training with Shaolin Monks in Henan, China. When asked why he spent 3 weeks training like a monk? "To put my body through things its not used to doing" Last week, his team made the NBA finals. Is it because he shaved his head in a Shaolin Temple? Probably not. But without a doubt, it reframed the upcoming season for him. It was no longer about recovering from a bad season, it was about building on this new base. & We think this is how you should spend your summer too. You have a clear opening with no expectations. Treat it like 10 weeks to test yourself. Maybe there's a completely different career you've never thought of trying. Maybe you have a business idea you're putting off until after college. Maybe it's a movie stuck in your head that you want to share with the world. You have 10 weeks to validate your theory. Are you capable of doing it now? Is this something you really want to pursue? Don't create limits or expectations on how it should go. Just put yourself into wildly different conditions then you're used to. & experiment with obsession, so that by the end of the summer you've gained something. Whether its knowledge, experience, or a reason to drop out lol The outcomes you have will be determined by the inputs you put in. So yeah, don't waste this summer.
