Thank you to Iowa Giving Crew! They recently donated $4,600 raised during Operation Awareness, a campaign they hold each May in honor of two members of the IGC family who died by suicide. Donations to the campaign support our mission, including the Legacy Wall (pictured). Scholarships are available for memorial tiles to honor and remember those who have died by suicide. Contact kcurtis@foundation2.org to learn more about the Legacy Wall and scholarship options. See less

One way we are proud to support our employees' professional and personal development is through Leadership for Five Seasons! Help us congratulate our Marketing Manager Jena Schoenhofer for her selection in the Class of 2027!
Leadership for Five Seasons (LFS), a premier community leadership program of the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, is pleased to announce its 44th Adult class — the Class of 2027. Thirty-five professionals from a wide range of businesses and industries across the Cedar Rapids metro were selected for this year’s cohort through a competitive process that includes an application, two letters of recommendation, and interviews conducted by LFS alumni. Since its launch in 1983, more than 1,400 business and community leaders have completed the program, gaining lifelong leadership skills and deeper community insight. The Adult LFS program is a 10-month experience, running August through May, with participants spending one Friday each month outside of work engaged in customized leadership training and on-site visits throughout the community. The program is designed to build a comprehensive understanding of the region’s challenges and opportunities and equip participants to make a positive, long-term impact in the Cedar Rapids area. Please join us in congratulating the Leadership for Five Seasons Adult Class of 2027. https://bit.ly/4lkJMiX

Foundation 2 Crisis Services reposted this
As we step into June, we're reflecting on the momentum of Mental Health Awareness Month—and the reminder that this work doesn’t end when May does. I’m deeply grateful for our partnership with Mindspring Mental Health Alliance, NAMI Iowa, and Foundation 2 Crisis Services. Together, we’re helping reduce the stigma of mental illness and building a culture where more Iowans feel supported in seeking care. Throughout May, communities across the state showed up in meaningful ways: sharing positive chalk messages, wearing green to spark conversations, and creating space for connection and understanding. These moments matter. They help normalize what so many experience and remind us that we’re not alone. We also continue the important work of aligning mental health with physical health—recognizing that true well-being requires treating both with equal importance, not just in one month but every day. Let’s carry this energy forward. 💬 “There is no health without mental health.” — World Health Organization #HeyIowa #MentalHealthAwareness #EndTheStigma #StrongerTogether #MentalHealthMatters

Last week, some of our staff had the opportunity to attend the Foundation 2 Crisis Services Gun Violence Awareness Day event. Their Group Violence Intervention team provided an update on many successes the program has had over the past year as they work toward breaking the cycle of gun violence. We had a great time at Putts for Prevention! Thank you for being part of our mission to be a trusted support when life gets tough for all people, any time, every time.
⛳️ The SFS team had an amazing time supporting Foundation 2 Crisis Services at this year’s Putts for Prevention in Downtown Cedar Rapids! What a fun afternoon filled with mini golf, laughter, community connection, and support for such an important mission. Foundation 2 continues to make a tremendous impact through crisis prevention, mental health care, and suicide prevention services across Iowa. This year, Team SFS was proudly represented by Kristin Bullock, FSCP®, Jamie Meyers, Toni Stone QKA®, CPFA®, and Mikki Strelow, CPFA® — and as always, we were honored to be both participants and proud sponsors of the event. 💙 At SFS, we believe in investing in the communities we serve and supporting organizations that make a real difference in people’s lives. Events like Putts for Prevention remind us how powerful community partnerships can be. Now we’re already looking forward to the Uptown Marion event this fall… we can’t wait! ⛳🎉 #SFS #Foundation2 #PuttsForPrevention #CommunitySupport #ProudSponsor #MentalHealthAwareness #GivingBack #TeamSFS #CedarRapids #MarionIA
