From Plastic Waste to Places of Learning. We’re proud to see the Green School Project gaining attention across Kenya. What started as an ambitious idea has become a powerful demonstration of what is possible when communities, innovators, and partners come together around a shared vision. Today, students who once learned under iron-sheet structures are benefiting from a safer, cooler, and more climate-resilient learning environment. The project also features a modern electric kitchen that enables clean, efficient e-cooking, demonstrating how climate-smart solutions can improve education, health, and sustainability. Even more inspiring, the school stands as proof that plastic waste can be transformed into durable infrastructure that creates lasting impact for communities while advancing the circular economy. This achievement would not have been possible without the collaboration and commitment of SOLCO Partnership, SWEEP Partnership, and the many partners supporting this journey. At Last Mile Climate, we believe that local innovation, circular economy solutions, and community-led action can help address some of the world's most pressing challenges while creating lasting impact where it matters most.
