🩵 COMING SOON 🩵 Can't wait to share an epic project we've been working on with the World Mosquito Program (WMP) over the last year. It's the most ambitious project we've ever had as a studio – an emotive, cinematic film for a global audience, that tells a story of hope. A film that transcends borders, cultures, and languages – told without words, just visual storytelling and a beautiful, musical score by the fantastic Danish band Efterklang. The film will be officially released in a couple of weeks, in the meantime here's a poster we designed for it. What a week at Manchester Animation Festival! We're back in the studio today after a few days of inspiration and imagination at the UK's biggest and best celebration of this wonderful art form. Here's a quick roundup of our week: 🐅 Our studio film was in the official selection, it was amazing to see it on the big screen alongside some really awesome films in the British Shorts screening 🥸 Nice to take part in a directors Q&A about how we made the film, thanks to Isabelle Croissant for hosting, and lovely to meet other film makers Lizzie Watts, Sinem Vardarli and Luca Schenato (who's films were so good) 🙌🏻 Really enjoyed the Art of the Ad panel and showcase with James Cross, Jess Deacon, Thomas Purrington and Henry Purrington. Nice to see our little corner of the industry getting some love 💡 Loved seeing 50 years of incredible work by Industrial Light & Magic, thanks to Hayden Jones for the presentation — mind blowing work 💪🏼 Fantastic to see our animator Rosa Kennedy take part in the Women in Animation panel discussion, alongside Neeraja Raj and Lindsey Adams hosted by Hannah Lau-Walker. Really interesting insights and lots of food for thought on how we can all get better at gender equality and representation. 🥰 Great to see some old friends and new ones at the festival and the bar, including Sara Starling Helen Mason John Cooper Winston Tsang Michael Pettyt Gray Young Tiernan Douieb Jonathan Ashworth Florin Mocanu Rich Harrison Davey Moore Andrew Lord (sorry if I've missed anyone!) 🎬 We saw loads of amazing films, some of my favourites were — Arco, Dreamwalker, Fried, The 12 Inch Pianist, Cardboard, Wavelength, Ovary-Acting, Two Black Boys in Paradise, The Shyness of Trees, Windy Day, Hunting, Double or Nothing and probably loads more I've forgotten! ⭐️ Always a joy of course to spend time with the FLOW Creative team Sarah Ritchie Guilherme Gomes James Lawson Rosa Kennedy Josh Taylor Georgia Collins 👏🏻 Excellent job as always Dr Steve Henderson and Jennifer Hall, it's an awesome event that seems to get bigger and better every year, and a testament to all of your hard work.
