Over the past year, Flipkart has connected with sellers, artisans, women entrepreneurs, self-help groups, MSMEs and young talent across India through workshops focused on e-commerce enablement. In Bikaner, Raipur and Bongaon, the sessions supported rural entrepreneurs and women-led self-help groups with guidance on digital market access, onboarding and business growth. Workshops in Guwahati, Kolkata, Kochi, and Kovalam helped MSMEs, artisans, weavers, FPOs, and cooperative societies understand product listing, marketplace access, and ways to reach customers across India. At Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Hyderabad, Flipkart also engaged students and faculty with practical insights into e-commerce operations, footwear and fashion categories, and the wider digital retail ecosystem. Through these partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives, Flipkart continues to strengthen e-commerce readiness and participation across India. #Flipkart #ECommerce #MSMEs #Artisans #WomenEntrepreneurs #DigitalCommerce

We’re excited to welcome Mohan Palisetti to Flipkart as a Vice President in our Technology organization. In his new role, Mohan will focus on the exciting spaces of FinTech, Payments and Monetization to help expand Flipkart’s footprint in these areas. He comes into this role with over two decades of extensive experience building products and platforms for the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Mastercard's global money movement solutions, where he led the technology strategy and execution of real-time payment capabilities. Prior to Mastercard, he held senior technology leadership roles at PayPal, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and D.E. Shaw. At Flipkart, Mohan is excited about solving for India, from India and is confident in the opportunity that’s open for the e-commerce and financial services markets in India. As a leader, he’s a strong believer in the concept of a customer-first mindset as a foundational driver and identifies himself as a hands-on leader who’s in founder-mode most of the time. We’re sure that trait is going to come in handy at Flipkart. Outside of work, Mohan enjoys spending quiet time with his family and bonding with his daughter over their shared interest in baking - an activity that he likens to a science experiment or building software. Other than that, the true Hyderabadi in him comes out when some traditional Hyderabadi Biriyani is on offer! As has now become tradition, we asked Mohan about a book he’d like to recommend. His answer was the bestseller Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Mohan felt that critical thinking and human judgement are perhaps even more relevant than ever before as we increasingly rely on AI to make day-to-day decisions - and this book talks about just that.
