Social Shifters are excited to announce the return of Fitch Group’s Global Education Challenge in 2026! In this, our 4th year of partnership with Fitch Group, the Global Education Challenge has once again grown in scope - with $55,000 USD (total) in grant funding available and coaching for up to 28 finalist founders. The Global Education Challenge is designed to support young leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs (aged 18-30 years) who are enabling better access to education in their communities. We’re particularly interested in highly innovative solutions that: 1. Widen access to basic mathematics and literacy skills. 2. Promote financial inclusion through education. 3. Deliver education to remote and rural communities. 4. Eliminate gender disparities in education. To be eligible your startup must be genuinely youth-led (young people must have clear decision making authority) and must be able to demonstrate measurable social outputs and impact. The Global Education Challenge will host x4 regional pitch finals (the Americas, EMEA Global North, EMEA Global South and APAC) with x3 grants awarded in each regional final of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000. The 1st and 2nd place founders selected in each region will move on to our global pitch finals - where additional $10,000 USD and $5,000 USD grants will be awarded to the top two founders!
