~30–50% of manufacturing capacity globally sits idle at any given time. Not because there’s no demand — But because the demand is in the wrong place. One workshop is overloaded, quoting 3–4 weeks out. Another workshop down the street is running at 40% capacity. Same machines. Same capability. Completely different realities. That gap is where money is lost: Longer lead times Inflated pricing Missed opportunities And it’s happening every single day. At Fabconnect, we’re not creating supply. We’re unlocking what’s already there. By distributing work across a network of vetted suppliers, we: Activate idle capacity Reduce lead times significantly Bring pricing back to where it should be No new machines. No new factories. Just better allocation. That’s the real inefficiency in this industry — And that’s what we’re fixing. #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #IndustrialTech #Fabconnect #Efficiency #Procurement

Most people think instant pricing is a feature. It’s not. It’s the first step toward automating an entire industry. Steel fabrication today is still heavily manual: RFQs flying over email Pricing based on who picks up the phone Lead times guessed, not calculated Decisions made with incomplete data That’s not scalable. And it’s definitely not efficient. At Fabconnect, we’re changing that. Our instant pricing engine isn’t just about speed it’s about standardizing how work is evaluated, priced, and allocated. Because once pricing becomes: Data-driven Comparable Immediate You unlock everything else: Smarter supplier matching Optimized capacity utilization Reduced idle time across workshops Faster, more predictable project execution This is how you move from manual sourcing → automated manufacturing pipelines. We’re not just making procurement faster. We’re building the rails for a fully digital, automated steel fabrication ecosystem. And instant pricing is where it starts. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #Automation #Fabconnect #DigitalTransformation

Something strange is happening in steel markets right now. Prices are moving. Not because of actual shortages. Not because capacity disappeared overnight. But because of fear. Shipping uncertainty. Geopolitical tension. Speculation creeping into what should be a commodity market. Steel — at its core — is still available. Workshops are still running. Machines haven’t stopped. Yet we’re seeing 30–40% price hikes being quoted almost instantly. Not driven by real supply-demand fundamentals. Driven by anticipation, risk premiums, and opportunistic pricing. The real shortage — if it comes — hasn’t hit yet. So the question is: Why are companies paying tomorrow’s panic prices today? This is where networks matter. At Fabconnect, having access to a diverse supplier base changes the equation. It creates: More price transparency More competition More balanced distribution of work The suppliers who actually want to build and deliver get the opportunity. And pricing reflects reality — not fear. Because in fragmented markets, the difference between price discovery and price distortion is who you’re connected to. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #Fabconnect

Something we’re working hard on at Fabconnect: speed. In steel fabrication, sourcing is still painfully slow. RFQs go out. Suppliers take days to respond. Procurement teams chase quotes. Projects sit idle while decisions wait on pricing. A lot of inefficiency in the supply chain starts right there. That’s why we’re constantly improving our quoting engine. Every day we’re refining how we interpret fabrication scope, structure the inputs, and generate faster, more reliable pricing. The goal is simple: Reduce the time it takes to move from design → pricing → execution. Because the faster companies can price and source fabrication, the faster real projects move forward. Still early. Still improving. But the system is getting better every day. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #Fabconnect

Uber didn’t build cars. Airbnb didn’t build hotels. Fabconnect isn’t building factories. We’re building the network that makes them work together. Because the biggest problem in steel fabrication was never capacity. It was coordination, management and accountability. Thousands of capable workshops exist. Machines are already running. Talent is already there. But sourcing fabrication is still fragmented — phone calls, spreadsheets, and disconnected supplier networks. Fabconnect connects that capacity into a structured manufacturing network. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #SupplyChain #Fabconnect

One day you’re solving fabrication challenges for an industrial plant. The next, you’re on site contributing to a project that will save lives. This was during one of Fabconnect’s engagements with Orascom Construction PLC at Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Foundation in 6th of October. Different sectors. Different requirements. Different levels of precision. But the same core challenge: turning engineering specifications into real, executed fabrication on the ground. What we’ve learned building Fabconnect is that good manufacturing infrastructure is domain-agnostic. Steel doesn’t care if it’s for energy, healthcare, or infrastructure. What matters is: • Understanding the specifications • Managing fabrication quality • Coordinating execution across suppliers That’s the layer we’re building. From heavy industry to critical healthcare infrastructure — the mission is the same. Make fabrication reliable. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #Infrastructure #Construction #Fabconnect

Global tensions don’t just move markets. They break supply chains. A shipment gets delayed or your main supplier goes silent and suddenly your project timeline suddenly slips. We’re seeing it more often across steel fabrication and industrial manufacturing. The companies that stay operational aren’t the ones with the cheapest supplier. They’re the ones with options. At Fabconnect, we’ve built a network of fabricators and manufacturers that allows us to quickly shift sourcing paths while maintaining specifications and quality. When uncertainty becomes the norm, resilience becomes the advantage. #SupplyChain #Manufacturing #IndustrialTech #Fabconnect #ResilientSupplyChains

May 3, 2019. On site during a pneumatic pressure test during my time at Consolidated Contractors Company in Kuwait. If you’ve been through one, you understand the stakes. When systems go under pressure, there’s no room for assumptions. Design errors surface. Execution gaps show up immediately. Heavy industry doesn’t forgive miscalculations. That day reinforced something that stayed with me: Steel isn’t just fabrication. It’s responsibility. Tolerances matter. Material specs matter. Inspection discipline matters. Fabconnect didn’t start as a random idea. It started from being around real infrastructure, where mistakes are expensive and precision is non-negotiable. Pressure reveals everything. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #HardTech #Energy #Steel #Fabconnect

This is Ahmed Shaker — our Mechanical Design Lead at Fabconnect. Two workshops. One day. On the ground making sure: • Designs are implemented exactly as specified • Tolerances are respected • Fit-up issues are caught early • Design flaws are corrected before they become rework Because CAD files don’t build steel. Execution does. At Fabconnect, we don’t stop at digital models. We follow the design all the way to the shop floor — validating assumptions, aligning with machinists, checking dimensions, closing feedback loops. Transforming digital into physical isn’t automatic. It requires engineering discipline, presence, and accountability. This is what infrastructure looks like. #IndustrialTech #Manufacturing #MechanicalEngineering #HardTech #Fabconnect
