Darwin Lucas has been appointed President of Everspan Group and Nicole Crowley has been named General Counsel. Darwin has served as Chief Underwriting and Reinsurance Officer since 2023, while Nicole, who joined Everspan in 2024, was most recently Assistant General Counsel. Congrats, Darwin and Nicole! We are thrilled to welcome Larry McClure as Chief Actuary of Everspan Group. Larry brings more than 25 years of actuarial leadership across the insurance and reinsurance industry. Most recently, he served as Chief Reserving Actuary, Americas P&C at SCOR Re, where he oversaw ~$7B of reserves and served as Appointed Actuary across multiple entities. His background also includes senior roles at AXA XL and Travelers, spanning casualty, professional, property, and reinsurance lines. A Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Larry’s professional volunteerism includes two terms as President of the Casualty Actuaries of New England and has also served as a grader on CAS Examination Committees. Larry is known as a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who fits perfectly with Everspan’s culture of discipline, partnership, and accountable execution. We’re excited to have him onboard as we continue to scale our specialty programs platform. Please join us in welcoming Larry to Everspan.

We are pleased to announce two exceptional additions to our leadership team! 🌟 Trent M. – Vice President, Head of Business Development Trent brings extensive experience across claims, underwriting, and business development in both the carrier and program sectors. Most recently, he led business development for the northern U.S. region at Dual North America. In his new role, Trent will focus on cultivating partnerships with MGAs, MGUs, program administrators, reinsurance brokers, and reinsurers—identifying new program opportunities and strengthening Everspan’s presence in the market. Trent will be based in Winston-Salem, NC. 🌟 Kelly Dworniczek – Senior Vice President, Program & Reinsurance Manager Kelly joins Everspan as an accomplished executive and attorney with over 25 years of experience in professional liability underwriting. She brings a distinctive blend of legal acumen and leadership across claims, underwriting, and strategy, with expertise spanning public companies, financial institutions, biotechnology, and complex financial mechanisms such as SPACs and IPOs. A recognized industry expert, Kelly is known for driving innovation, optimizing portfolios, and aligning risk management with business goals. Kelly will be based in Chicago.
