  • Our Head of QA Daria Tsion took the stage at the QA Meetup hosted by TRIARE. A few hours of real case studies, honest conversations, and exactly the kind of knowledge-sharing that makes the Cherkasy IT community worth being part of. Good to see our team out there 💙

How do you actually parallelize work across git worktrees – and which tasks do you pick so the AI-agents keep shipping and you've still got enough focus left for yourself? That's the question our engineer Valentyn Dmytriuk got curious about. So he ran the experiment for a day. In his words👇 I worked across ~3–4 parallel agent sessions using git worktrees, and I'm convinced it's a valid flow even for product development – under a few conditions: the right task mix, solid focus, and not overloading your own context. The key is picking the right tasks. My main one was a heavy SPIKE – tons of reasoning and architectural decisions, but it didn't need my hands every minute. So I spun up a second worktree for something more local: manual debugging with a small fix, wired to a browser via MCP Playwright so Claude Code by Anthropic could test variants on its own. I'd just answer questions and drop in context now and then. Since neither task needed 100% of me, I added a third session for a product review of a colleague's PR – edge cases, odd states, unexpected scenarios. A fourth for DataDog error monitoring, but that one fell off fast. Peak: 4 sessions. Stable: 3. The takeaway: this works only if you combine task types deliberately and never stack several max-concentration activities together. Feel the cognitive load of each task and bundle them so they don't fight for attention – efficiency goes up without a real jump in stress. Curious what bundles worked for you in parallel-agent flow? – Valentyn Dmytriuk #GitWorktrees #AIagents #SoftwareEngineering #ProductDevelopment GitHub

  • The "Oops" that went Live   In 2017 a tired GitLab sysadmin accidentally ran a command to delete a database directory on the production server instead of the staging server. GitLab lost 6 hours of data, including 5,000 projects, 5,000 comments, and 700 new user accounts. They had 5 different backup methods, but none of them worked. Some were empty, some were outdated, and some simply failed to trigger. Honestly? We’ve had our own "mini-GitLab" moments at Everlabs too, but we learned the hard way, we fixed it, and today we’re once again checking our own backups just to be sure. Don't rely on a single source of truth:  - Think about what’s truly valuable to your business. - Imagine your main storage vanishing in an instant. - Ensure that your critical information exists in at least two separate locations. What’s your most painful data loss story? 👇

  • Great software architecture is never built in isolation. It happens when smart people get together to debate the hard stuff. We saw this firsthand at the Fwdays & Everlabs: Architecture Crash Conference. The room was packed with engineers and tech leaders eager to dissect complex systems and learn from actual mistakes and successes. Everlabs folks were out in full force. Dmytro, one of our engineers, even hit the stage to present a few practical takeaways from our recent custom development cycles. Thank you to all the speakers, partners, and attendees. The energy and technical depth you brought exceeded all expectations. You can find the conference recordings on our YouTube channel - the link is in the comments (there are already 2 videos available). Subscribe to stay updated, more videos are coming soon! 🎥

ENG We're starting the year in partnership with Fwdays by hosting a tech event focused on modern system architecture - blending a meetup and a conference format. All participation fees will be donated - and you can also support the cause directly: https://lnkd.in/dY2QZ-JM (This link goes to an open donation, everyone can take part in supporting the reconnaissance unit of the 12th Azov Brigade) The event itself will be held in Ukrainian 🇺🇦
