Proud to recognise the excellent work carried out by the TVC2 Electrical team in implementing the ESSOW process, to achieve the successful Power On milestone in Plot G. This was achieved through strong planning, disciplined coordination and a clear focus on safe working practices across the project. Key activities included High Risk Reviews internally and with our clients Stanhope and Multiplex, the setup of a high-quality permit office, project-wide stand-down presentations, and the introduction of improved working practices to support safe energisation. A particular mention goes to Sean Courtney, Charlie Shaw and Kevin McCann for their commitment and attention to detail throughout the process, alongside the wider team, led by Mark Clapson , whose leadership helped drive the team through this important project milestone Well done to everyone involved. Today we celebrate World Environment Day 2026, a global reminder of the urgency of meaningful climate action. To support this momentum, ESG is proud to publish our Group Sustainability Plan, setting out the ambitious steps we are taking to reach Net Zero by 2035—fifteen years ahead of global targets. This year’s call to accelerate climate action is reflected directly in our strategy: transitioning to 100% renewable electricity, replacing fossil‑fuel‑based heating with low‑carbon systems, decarbonising our vehicle fleet, and working closely with our supply chain to ensure their environmental commitments align with our own. Headed home after a lovely evening representing ESG at The 5% Club Summer Reception, hosted at the House of Lords by Lord Charles Allen CBE. It was great to reconnect with familiar faces, make a few new connections, and celebrate our collective commitment to developing talent through earn-and-learn opportunities. Unsurprisingly, the Milburn Report's finding that around one million young people are now NEET was a topic of conversation. The consensus was clear, this should concern us all. As a parent of teenagers, it certainly resonates with me. It's a powerful reminder of why earn and learn opportunities matter so much. When young people can gain skills, build confidence, and earn a fair wage at the same time, they are far more likely to establish lasting careers and realise their potential. If you're in a position to employ an apprentice, please consider doing so. Not only could you help shape a young person's future, but you may also be building the talent pipeline your business will rely on for years to come. #ESG #apprentices #earnandlearn #earlycareers #networking
