Treat identity and SaaS platforms as primary attack surfaces. That’s the recommendation from CrowdStrike’s 2026 Global Threat Report.¹ That's not a warning to panic - it's a call to act sensibly. Adversaries are increasingly exploiting vishing, phishing, and stolen OAuth tokens to move laterally through cloud environments. Fortunately, the countermeasures are well-established: • Strengthen phishing-resistant MFA • Enforce least-privilege access for service and non-human accounts • Monitor for anomalous SaaS and token activity None of this is groundbreaking advice. But the organisations that get caught out are usually the ones that knew what to do - and just hadn't done it yet. If you'd like a second set of eyes on your identity security posture, we're always happy to have that conversation. ¹https://lnkd.in/eXj7yGWh #Cybersecurity #AIandIdentitySecurity #CrowdStrike

About us
Founded back in 2016, Endpoint Focus is an Australian-owned, Melbourne-based Systems Integrator. While we’re relatively small, we’re mighty. Our people, expertise, and partnerships empower us to deliver outcomes that impress and delight our customers. We work across multiple industries, including local and state government, health, insurance, construction, entertainment, NFP and charities, law, emergency services, publishing, financial services and banking. So, what is it that we do? Our single-minded aim is to enable our customers to do their best work securely. We do this by helping organisations design and integrate the best tools and solutions to secure and manage their endpoints (think laptops, desktops, servers, smartphones, tablets, and OT/IoT devices), identities, applications and data. This keeps our customers and their teams happy and productive – and enables them to work securely on any device from anywhere. Why ask us to manage your endpoint security? We recognise that our customers’ IT teams often struggle to integrate everything into a seamless and secure experience for their staff. For our engineers, it’s a challenge they are well used to. They secure complex environments that consist of diverse endpoints, applications, and new technologies on a daily basis. The outcome? Your devices, identities, applications and data are managed, protected and secured. So all your people have to do is what they do best.

We had a great time at Digital Health Festival this year, including sitting down with the team at Talking HealthTech to chat about the real challenges facing Australian healthcare IT. Legacy systems, AI, cybersecurity, and what it actually takes to modernise without disrupting care were just a few of the issues top of mind for organisations. Our own Jeroen Nguyen joined Cameron McBride from Western Health and Chris Fisher from Island for an honest conversation recorded live at DHF26. Watch or listen here: https://lnkd.in/gNjKcBry

Seven years in IT security is no small feat - threats evolve, complexity grows, and Nethmina Gamage has navigated all of it with calm, considered expertise. As a Technical Consultant, we’re grateful for the deep technical knowledge he contributes, day in, day out. Outside of work, Neth keeps bees - thousands of moving parts, everything in harmony. Not unlike managing a complex IT environment. Thank you for everything, Neth. Here's to many more milestones ahead!

Attackers aren't breaking in. They're logging in. 82% of breaches now involve valid credentials and legitimate tools, not malware. And as for your old ‘castle-and-moat’ security? It's waving them right through. It's time for a new playbook. Swipe to learn about Zero Trust. https://lnkd.in/g2qXqNTC

We’ve been named a finalist in the CRN Australia Channel Awards for two categories: Solution Provider of the Year (0–49 employees) and Solution Provider Innovation/Project of the Year. For a 13-person team, that's a result we're genuinely proud of. We don't resell technology and walk away. We take ownership of the full transformation lifecycle - assessment, architecture, implementation, integration, and ongoing optimisation. That way, your investments in tech actually translate into business outcomes, not just deployed tools. Thanks to the team for the hard work, and to our clients for trusting us with their high-stakes problems. (We rather enjoy those.) The winners are announced on 17 September in Sydney. Best of luck to all the finalists! https://lnkd.in/gF9UWnuh

Wrestling with a VPN to access patient records is a common frustration for clinicians. For those delivering acute care in the home, seamless access to clinical systems is a necessity. We recently helped a healthcare and social assistance service solve this exact problem for their mobile workforce, enabling Cerner access over IPA360/Desktop without the need for Citrix or VPN. As their project manager noted, this rollout was ‘life-changing’, removing daily friction and paving the way for a fully digital workflow. In their words: "Knowing access is easier and without issues now allows us to further explore moving our hybrid service of paper and digital to hopefully all-digital... You and your team have honestly made this a reality, not a dream." If your organisation relies on legacy remote access tools that hinder your team, it might be time for an upgrade. Remember when your remote work strategy was just ‘take your laptop home and good luck’? If your organisation's solution was pieced together in a hurry, you might be overlooking opportunities to make life easier for your team. Remote workers deserve the same seamless access, support, and security as those in the main office. At Endpoint Focus, our team helps IT departments turn temporary remote setups into robust, headache-free environments. We protect your devices and data without hindering your people from doing their best work. How we can help: • Cloud-based management: Track, configure, and update devices seamlessly so your team never misses a critical update. • Remote-ready provisioning: Automate hardware rollouts. Ship new devices straight to your staff, ready to connect securely right out of the box. • Smarter authentication: Upgrading to biometrics, MFA, or passwordless logins improves security and reduces helpdesk requests. You don't need to operate with temporary fixes anymore. A quick assessment can identify simple, cost-effective improvements to keep your data safe and your team productive, wherever they are. AI is changing cybersecurity. That much is obvious. What’s more interesting is how quickly it’s changing the defender’s job. Anthropic’s new Project Glasswing points to a shift many security teams are already feeling: AI is getting very good at finding software vulnerabilities. In some cases, good enough to uncover issues that have survived years of human review and automated testing. That sounds dramatic because, well, it is. But it’s not a cue for panic. It’s a cue for better security practice. For organisations, the message is fairly simple: security can’t be a once-a-quarter activity anymore. If AI helps uncover risk faster, defenders need environments that are: – Visible – Well managed – Consistently patched – Designed to scale That’s especially relevant at the endpoint, where small gaps have a habit of becoming large headaches.
