EeroQ is building a next-generation quantum computer using the technology of today. We use single electrons floating on superfluid helium as our qubits, above a standard CMOS chip. This allows for a perfect qubit environment combined with guaranteed scalability due to our compatibility with the same existing processes that build laptops and phones. We were founded in 2016, and our technology has academic roots from Bell Labs, Princeton, and Michigan State. We fully spun out from the lab in 2022 with venture capital backing led by B Capital Group, the strategic venture partner of BCG with $9B AUM.

➡️ New work from our team: our CSO Professor Johannes Pollanen and Director of Quantum Dr. Niyaz Beysengulov are co-authors on "Electrons on Helium and Entangled Quantum Sensors for Particle Physics," now on arXiv. The paper proposes using entangled electron qubits trapped on superfluid helium as a new class of quantum sensor, with the potential to detect rare, high-energy particle events beyond the reach of classical detectors. Today in Nature Physics: the world’s first demonstration of strong coupling between a microwave photon and a single electron floating on liquid helium. A milestone 27 years in the making! “Strong coupling” is fundamentally important in quantum science, a regime where a qubit and the photons used to measure it interact so strongly and cleanly that quantum information can be exchanged between them before it's lost to noise. This enables quantum entanglement between the qubit and photon, the key property that gives quantum computers their extraordinary power. By demonstrating the strong coupling of a microwave photon to an electron on helium we have unlocked the ability to manipulate and read out quantum information in this system. And this is just the beginning; our scheme now serves as the mechanism to read out the spin qubit state of the electron, which is expected to offer significantly superior qubit quality. We are proud of our team and everyone who contributed to this achievement. I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining EeroQ Corporation this summer as a Quantum Engineering Intern! In this role, I’ll be working with EeroQ’s QE team on tools that support the design and simulation workflow for quantum hardware, including microwave circuitry and finite element modeling for micro- and nano-device systems.
