At ECH, we strive to support our clients to get more out of life, so we’re pleased to be recognised for leading our sector's use of technology to improve our service delivery.   Through natural language processing and machine learning, our Home Service Team Members can now automatically generate personalised, compliant care plans in less than one minute. Our AI care plans address the inefficiencies and inconsistencies of manual, time-intensive documentation, reduce the risk of missing critical information, and integrate multiple data sources to produce comprehensive, standardised plans.   It means our team can now spend more time engaging with clients and strengthening the human connection, which leads to better overall care outcomes.   We are thrilled that our team’s hard work on our AI care plans has been recognised as an industry-leading initiative, with ECH named a finalist in the recent Ageing Australia ITAC Awards. We’ve also been named an SA/NT finalist at the upcoming iAwards run by the Australian Information Industry Association. #AICarePlan #ECH #Innovation #Technology

  • Gina’s story highlights the important role our Day Programs play in supporting people living with dementia, while also providing essential respite for their families. Through safe, engaging environments and a strong sense of community, our teams help clients stay connected and supported, and enable carers to take a break with confidence. It’s a meaningful example of how thoughtful care can make a real difference. • We’re proud to see Jo Young, ECH Dementia Support Coordinator, represent ECH at the International Dementia Conference in Sydney earlier this month. Jo presented her work, Dementia in Bloom, an initiative focused on creating a more holistic, identity-led approach to dementia care and supporting a shared understanding across teams working in community aged care. It’s wonderful to see this work resonate with peers across the sector and contribute to important conversations around how we can better support people living with dementia. A big thank you to Jo for sharing her insights and expertise. 💙 👉 Read Jo’s reflection below #DementiaCare #AgedCare #Leadership #ECH #IDC2026

Feeling grateful and privileged to have had the opportunity to present my work 'Dementia in Bloom' at the International Dementia Conference in Sydney last week. 'Dementia in Bloom' has been a background project to create a visual whole-person identity-led framework in a system that silos clinical and social care. A shared language for staff working across different roles and disciplines in community aged care. To be in a room with so many peers nodding in acknowledement of the sentiments of the key note speakers, and seeing how my work aligned, was truly special. Thank you to ECH Inc and my incredible team for supporting me every step of the way! 💙 #IDC2026

  • ECH acknowledges National Reconciliation Week 2026, held each year from 27 May to 3 June. This year's theme — All In — calls on all Australians to commit to reconciliation not just this week, but every day. It is a reminder that meaningful change is a shared responsibility, and that we all have a role to play. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and to Elders past, present and emerging. #NRW2026 #AllIn #Reconciliation

  • It was great to be part of the 2026 ITAC Awards earlier this month, recognising the people and organisations making a real difference across aged care.   ECH was proud to be named a finalist alongside so many passionate teams and individuals doing important work in our sector. It’s encouraging to see the level of innovation and collaboration happening right across aged care, community services and retirement living.   A big congratulations to all the finalists and winners. The ideas and initiatives being shared are helping shape better outcomes for older Australians now and into the future.   We’re pleased to be part of that progress and to keep building on the work we do every day to support people to live well.

  • This week, ECH joins organisations across Australia in celebrating National Volunteers Week — and we could not be prouder of the wonderful volunteers who are part of our community. The contribution our volunteers make to the lives of ECH clients is immeasurable. Their generosity of time and spirit is something we never take for granted. This week, we look forward to honouring them at our 2026 Volunteer and Community Engagement Thank You Lunch — a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to the people who give so much. To every ECH volunteer — thank you. 💙 We are also currently seeking volunteer bus drivers to support our Community Engagement program. If you or someone you know might be interested, we would love to hear from you. Email ask@ech.asn.au or call 1300 275 324. • Today marks the first ever National Healthy Ageing Day — and it aligns closely with what drives our work at ECH every day. Led by not-for-profit iLA, this national initiative brings communities and organisations together under the theme 'Keep doing what matters', shining a light on the power of wellness and reablement approaches in aged care. At ECH, our commitment to CHSP and SAH guidelines means we work alongside our clients — not just for them. It's about supporting people to remain strong, independent, and connected to the routines and relationships that give life meaning. Healthy ageing is a shared responsibility, and days like today remind us of the important role every aged care professional, carer, and community plays in reshaping what ageing looks like in Australia. #NationalHealthyAgeingDay #HealthyAgeing #Reablement #ECH
