Better Glaucoma Care Starts with Listening to Patients: Join Us in Supporting the National Patient Voices Survey  🔬 Clinical data can show how glaucoma progresses. However, only patients can explain how diagnosis, monitoring and treatment affect their confidence, independence and everyday lives.  💡 To better understand these lived experiences—and to translate that understanding into meaningful improvements in care—the Glaucoma UK National Patient Voices Survey was launched.  Glaucoma UK is inviting people in the UK who live with glaucoma, or are being monitored for the condition, to share their experiences anonymously. The survey aims to gather evidence that can inform future services, professional practice and healthcare policy. Although the survey focuses on the UK, its underlying message is internationally relevant:  Meaningful improvements in glaucoma care require patient experience to be considered alongside clinical evidence.   The findings may also offer valuable insights for glaucoma organisations, healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers in other countries. Different healthcare systems face different challenges, but many patient concerns—access to care, communication, treatment burden, continuity and quality of life—are shared across borders. 🔊 We are pleased to share this important initiative and encourage eligible patients in the UK to take part in the survey and share their experiences. Healthcare professionals can also help by making patients aware of the opportunity to participate.  International colleagues can support the wider message by amplifying the importance of patient voice and encouraging similar initiatives in their own countries. Every experience adds to the evidence. Every patient voice can help shape better glaucoma care.  📅 The survey is open until 6 September 2026. #Glaucoma #PatientVoice #PatientCentredCare #Ophthalmology #EyeHealth #GlobalHealth #SharedDecisionMaking #HealthcarePolicy

The National Patient Voices Survey has officially launched today! We’re asking eye care professionals to share this survey with your patients. By gathering as many responses as possible, we want to create a dataset that can’t be ignored. The results will then be turned into a report to help shape realistic, meaningful improvements in glaucoma care for patients and professionals alike. Share the survey today: https://buff.ly/JHXyL6f #GlaucomaVoices

  • Good morning from Oxford—and Day 3 of the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress. We remain in awe of this extraordinary city, where centuries of scholarship come alive. Oxford is a place where medieval Gothic, elegant Baroque, neoclassical landmarks and contemporary architecture blend seamlessly—just as naturally as the many cultures, perspectives and experiences represented at this remarkable congress. Since 1909, the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress has brought the ophthalmic community together, creating a unique environment for scientific excellence, open discussion and genuine collegiality. Today is the final day of #OOC26, and we're looking forward to another day of inspiring conversations at our booth. It has been a pleasure to meet such a knowledgeable and discerning audience—so open to innovation when it is supported by robust scientific evidence. #OOC2026 #Ophthalmology #EyeHealth #EvidenceBased #ClinicalResearch #NutritionScience #Innovation

#Retinologie #Badenweiler #Mikronährstoffe #Augengesundheit #Antioxidantien #Ophthalmologie #Netzhaut

  • June is Cataract Awareness Month—a timely reminder of one of the most common and successful surgical procedures worldwide.  Cataract surgery has transformed the lives of millions, significantly improving vision and overall quality of life. For many patients, it is a life-changing milestone that restores their independence and visual clarity.  However, there is another aspect of the patient journey that deserves greater attention: Following an otherwise successful cataract procedure, some patients become increasingly aware of vitreous opacities (eye floaters). While these opacities are often pre-existing, improved visual clarity after surgery may make them more noticeable. Even when the surgery is clinically perfect, these visual disturbances can impact patient satisfaction and diminish the perceived outcome.  This is where innovation matters.  ebiga-Vision offers a non-invasive approach to the management of vitreous opacities. VitroCap®N has been clinically evaluated and patented, providing an additional option to optimise visual quality after cataract surgery.  Learn more about the science behind VitroCap®N and order free samples for your patients:  https://lnkd.in/gm-8RVTn     #CataractAwarenessMonth #EyeCare #EyeHealth #Optometry #Ophtalmology

  • Greetings from the 38th International Congress of German Ophthalmic Surgery (DOC 2026)! We are delighted to support this year’s congress and sponsor the official DOC 2026/27 desk calendar, “Perspectives 26/27”. Created by the Eyeland Design Network around Dr. Karl Brasse and designer Guido Schulte, this unique calendar combines extraordinary ocular imagery where the boundaries between medical documentation and artistic interpretation intentionally blur. DOC continues to be one of the leading platforms for presenting innovations, discussing evolving standards of care, and advancing excellence in ophthalmic surgery. With a strong focus on hands-on learning through wet labs and specialized courses, the congress provides outstanding opportunities for education, training, and professional exchange. Have you ever wondered why we present micronutrient supplementation at a surgical congress? Because successful patient outcomes extend beyond the operating room. Even after a technically perfect cataract procedure, some patients may remain dissatisfied with their visual experience. Once the cloudy lens has been removed and vision is restored, pre-existing vitreous opacities (floaters) can become more noticeable and impact perceived visual quality. The surgery was a success – yet the outcome may not fully meet the patient's expectations. This is where VitroCap® N comes in. We look forward to discussing vitreous health, patient satisfaction, and outcomes beyond surgery with you. 📍 Visit us at Booth E7, pick up your complimentary DOC calendar, and meet our team. A special thank you to our booth builder, TISCH IQ DESIGN, for once again creating such an outstanding exhibition presence.   #DOC2026 #Ophthalmology #CataractSurgery #EyeHealth #VitreousOpacities #Floaters #PatientSatisfaction #Micronutrition #VitroCap #OphthalmicSurgery

  • ☀️ Greetings from the beautiful town of Harrogate, where the sun is shining and the atmosphere is buzzing at this year's Optometry Tomorrow 2026, the flagship clinical conference organized by the College of Optometrists. We were especially excited to return. Two years ago in Telford, this was one of our most engaging conferences—exceptionally well organized, highly educational, and filled with open-minded professionals eager to discuss new approaches to patient care. This year, we are proud to present not only VitroCap®N, but also GlauCap® and RetiCap®DR. Based on our previous experience and the very first hours of today's exhibition, we can already see that the UK optometry community is genuinely interested in innovative, non-invasive, micronutrient-based interventions that take a root-cause-focused approach to supporting long-term eye health. #OptometryTomorrow #EyeHealth #Optometry #Ophthalmology #Innovation #Micronutrition #PreventiveHealthcare #Glaucoma #RetinalHealth #Harrogate #FrankfurtOder #VitroCap #GlauCap #RetiCap
