Dynamic Photonics is designing a faster, cheaper and better dynamically biased APD receiver for the Telecommunications market. Our extensive expertise in the design and operation of avalanche photodiodes, high-speed microwave circuits, and communication theory enables us to produce innovative solutions to receivers for the 40-giga bit per second optical communication market and beyond. The key patented innovation employed in our technology is that off-the-shelf APD photodetectors are operated in a non-conventional manner, specifically designed to enhance the photodetector's speed well beyond the conventional limits. In addition, this concept is detector agnostic, which makes it useful for a host of applications, beyond telecommunications, that demand high-speed detection.
