Photonic processors that redefine computing

About us

Duality is redefining computing for the 21st Century with low power photonic processors that run critical algorithms in nanoseconds. Forever beyond the reach of microelectronics, Duality’s photonic processors will bring new discoveries to a world that is cleaner, safer, and better connected. As a foundation for data processing, electronics is hitting its limits, struggling with performance gains, heat dissipation, energy inefficiency, rising fabrication costs, while moving electronic data costs more than computing it. Built upon photonic chips, Duality’s processors natively transfer data and run today’s critical algorithms with massive speedups using less power and dissipating less heat. For problems that can only be solved by quantum algorithms, Duality’s processors use high-speed logic and networking to rapidly correct and entangle quantum states, paving the way to fault tolerant quantum computing. Duality’s processors are designed at the company headquarters in Bristol and fabricated at the company’s facility in Southampton. Live round-up 📣 As we near the end of the 2025 UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase, we are proud to share the Business Design Centre in London has been packed with innovators, businesses, researchers, academics, government representatives and policy makers from the UK and international quantum ecosystem.   Together we have been exploring quantum’s potential, powering breakthroughs across computing, navigation, healthcare, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure at the biggest quantum event in the UK. This year’s event has broken attendance records, showing an exponential growth in participation, a clear signal of the sector’s accelerating momentum and expanding impact.    Here are just a few highlights of what has been covered today: - The UK's quantum strategy and the exponential potential across priority sectors - What is needed for quantum businesses to enable growth beyond initial funding - New award-winning projects, investments and international partnerships. "Quantum technology is a priority growth sub-sector in the UK’s modern Industrial Strategy which forecasts that by 2045 it could contribute £11 billion to GDP and over 100,000 jobs." Emran Mian, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) "It is very exciting to see those who've been in the quantum sector for the past decade put their experience into practice again by starting to launch promising new UK tech spin-outs." Dr Manjari Chandran-Ramesh, PhD, Amadeus Capital Partners   "Over the next few years, there will be a huge ramp up of activity by corporates in the quantum sector and there is confidence that the UK has the potential to lead in the quantum space." Tom Adeyoola, Innovate UK   A big thank you to all delegates, and the organising team!   #QuantumShowcase25 #IYQ2025
