When two companies split, everyone remembers to divide the assets, the contracts, and the org chart. IT infrastructure is usually the last thing anyone thinks about, and often the thing that causes the most damage. Shared Microsoft 365 tenants are one of the most overlooked risks in a business separation. Two companies operating out of one tenant might work fine for years, until ownership changes and suddenly there are overlapping identities, shared mailboxes, and no clear line around who owns what data. The risk isn't hypothetical. A poorly separated tenant can leave a former partner or affiliated entity with lingering access to files, emails, and systems long after the separation is final. In regulated industries like finance, that's not just an inconvenience. It's a compliance and liability problem that can surface months later during an audit or legal dispute. Getting it right means treating tenant separation as a formal project, not a quick IT ticket: → Map every identity, mailbox, and license before touching anything → Sequence the migration so operations don't stall → Validate afterward that access has actually been cut, not just reorganized We recently helped two financial firms navigate exactly this scenario, separating a shared Microsoft 365 environment into two fully independent tenants with no disruption and no lingering access between them. 📄 Download the full case study below to see how we approached it from start to finish. #Microsoft365 #ITConsulting #FinancialServices

Business Email Compromise (BEC) cost organizations billions in reported losses last year, more than ransomware, according to the FBI's IC3 report. Part of the reason it flies under the radar is that it doesn't look like a typical attack. No malware to quarantine. No malicious link to flag. Just a real inbox, a real conversation thread, and a request that sounds like the hundred other legitimate ones your team handles every week. That's what makes it so effective. The strongest defense isn't a better filter. It's a verification process that doesn't bend under time pressure: a callback to a known number before any payment detail changes, a second approver above a set threshold, and a team trained to slow down when something says "urgent." In this clip from our June webinar, our team walks through what a real BEC attempt looks like from the inside. 🎥 Watch below.

💡 DivergeIT Tech Intelligence Report: The Real Cost of Downtime Most business leaders think about downtime the way they think about a bad weather day. Inconvenient, but recoverable. The reality in 2026 looks very different. As businesses have grown more digitally dependent and systems more interconnected, what used to be a manageable disruption can now cascade across an entire operation in minutes, touching revenue, productivity, vendor relationships, and client trust all at once. The businesses that recover fastest are not the ones with the largest IT budgets. They are the ones that treated recovery as a discipline rather than a document. They defined what acceptable downtime looks like for their business, validated their backups before an incident required it, and built a response plan their team had actually practiced. The question worth asking today is not whether your business has a backup. It is whether your business could actually use it under pressure. ▶️ Watch this month's DivergeIT Tech Intelligence Report below and tell us: when did your organization last test its recovery plan? #ITSecurity #Cybersecurity #DisasterRecovery

We wrapped one of our best sessions yet last Friday. On June 26th, Robert Praul, Connor Bescos, and Andrew Scott broke down exactly how AI has changed the business email compromise landscape and what every organization needs to do about it right now. If you were there, thank you. If you missed it, we have you covered. The full recording is now available. Watch it, share it with your team, and send it to whoever in your organization needs to hear this. 👉https://lnkd.in/gK6scfmS Here is what we covered: -How AI-powered BEC attacks actually work, including cloned voices and deepfake follow-ups. BEC losses hit $3 billion in 2025, and the attacks are only getting harder to detect. -Why traditional email defenses are failing against messages that look exactly like your CFO, your vendor, or your bank. -What the 2026 NACHA Operating Rules now require, including the fraud monitoring responsibility that has shifted directly to your business. Practical steps your IT and finance teams can act on right now. Want to stay in the loop for our upcoming webinars? If you are dabbling in AI or are "All In" this webinar is a must-attend event to ensure your AI ecosystem is secure and doesn't cause you harm in the future.
AI isn't just changing how we work. It's changing how we get attacked. Business email compromise used to rely on poorly written phishing emails and obvious red flags. That era is over. Today, AI can clone voices, mimic writing styles, and craft emails indistinguishable from your CEO, your vendor, or your bank. At scale, in seconds. And as of this year, NACHA's 2026 rule changes mean your business is now legally responsible for monitoring and documenting fraud controls on every ACH payment you originate. The liability has shifted from the bank to you. This Friday, our team is hosting a free 45-minute webinar breaking down exactly what's changed and what you need to do about it. The Trust Layer Has Collapsed: How AI Is Rewriting the Rules of Business Email Security 📅 Friday, June 26 | 11:00 AM PST | Free We'll cover: → How AI is powering the next generation of BEC attacks → Why your current email defenses likely aren't enough → How voice cloning and deepfakes fit into the attack chain → What the 2026 NACHA Operating Rules now require of your organization Want more context on the NACHA side of things? We put together a resource that breaks it down: https://lnkd.in/g7xWGFHd Register for the webinar here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gwBcTxpP #CyberSecurity #EmailSecurity #NACHA
