Advocating for Canadians who Qualify for the Disability Tax Credit and their Medical Practitioners

About us

Benefits2 helps Canadian families access the Disability Tax Credit at transparent flat fees ($99-$499), serving 3,000+ families across all provinces since 2021. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞: The DTC isn't rejected because families don't qualify. It's rejected because doctors don't have time to complete forms correctly or don't understand CRA's functional impairment criteria. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: We create clinical-grade documentation packages that: • Reduce physician time from hours to minutes • Align functional narratives with CRA definitions • Include comprehensive medical evidence and specialist letters • Improve approval rates through proper medical articulation 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠: • 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: $99 • 𝐃𝐓𝐂 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: $99-$149 • 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (optional): $100 (up to 2 practitioners) • 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭: $150 𝐂𝐑𝐀 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞: Included 𝐓𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐭: $299-$499 (depending on services selected) 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬: We handle the T2201 Disability Tax Credit Certificate application. If your application is approved and you need income tax adjustments to claim past years' refunds, we can refer you to tax preparers who charge flat-rate fees for tax filing services. 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧: Traditional DTC promoters charge 15-40% commission. With an average family refund of $10,000-$15,000, that's $1,500-$6,000 in promoter fees. Benefits2 charges $249-$499 for the DTC certificate, a flat fee that doesn't increase with your refund size. 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞: Some families may also have medical practitioner fees if their doctor charges for form completion.

Most families know about RRSPs, TFSAs, and RESPs. But many have never heard of the RDSP — the Registered Disability Savings Plan. If someone you love qualifies for the Disability Tax Credit, an RDSP may be an important tool to help build long-term financial security. Depending on eligibility and income, government grants and bonds may also be available. This is not charity. This is planning. It is about making sure people with disabilities and their families understand the financial tools that may be available to them. If you have a child, spouse, family member, or loved one with a disability, this is worth learning about. Educational only. Not individual financial advice. Eligibility and contribution amounts vary by situation. • Our CMO gets likened to Marcus Welby a little more often than Doc Baker, but he's been around for a while now....

Tufford - Saturday Coffee ☕ For my good friend, Dr. Wayne MacLeod at Benefits2 Simple, Streamlined Disability Tax Credit Like a lot of us who grew up on Gilligan’s Island and Little House on the Prairie, I remember Doc Baker, the country Doctor who helped everyone. Back then, cash‑poor farmers and settlers paid for medical care, baby deliveries, even surgeries with whatever they had: a chicken, a ham, a dozen eggs. Gratitude was the currency. Some things don’t change. It still comes down to people and Dr. Wayne MacLeod Family Physician, well, let’s just say I owe him a lot of chickens. Dr. Wayne MacLeod is the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer for Benefits2, a web-based solution which allows Canadians with disabilities access the Disability Tax Credit and assists medical practitioners with this important application. See: - https://benefits2.ca/ He’s been helping Canadian families — including several of my own friends and relatives — access the Disability Tax Credit at transparent, flat fees. Since 2021, he’s served more than 3,000 families across every province. ✨ The first thing to stop – “I’m not disabled enough” ✨ My own Dad said that - and ended up with a $9000+ CRA refund.   Simple Flat Fee Structure: SELF NAVIGATE - $99 - Plus applicable taxes  The “I could easily program the VCR to tape Little House in the 80’s” choice Use an Easy-to-Use Application Tool Requires some knowledge of the Disability Tax Credit Complete your application independently Best for those confident in their understanding of the process   CONSULTANT NAVIGATED - $149 - Plus applicable taxes  ✅The highly recommended “get Doc MacLeod to do it “ choice ✅Use his Easy-to-Use Application Tool ✅No prior knowledge required—consultant provides expertise ✅Consultant reviews your application for accuracy ✅Best for those seeking personalized assistance and extra peace of mind Benefits2https://benefits2.ca/ Solves the medical practitioner bottleneck. For too long, the Disability Tax Credit has been more of a burden than a benefit to people with disabilities in Canada. We support recent changes to the DTC but believe more still needs to be done to support people with disabilities and families. Many people report practical challenges accessing the credit, including complex applications, upfront medical fees, and lack of awareness due to limited advertising or promotion. Strengthening access to the DTC is key to improving financial security and disability inclusion in Canada. MODC’s Chief Accessibility Officer Jeff Willbond and Director of Public Affairs, Advocacy, and Strategic Communications Amanda MacKenzie appeared at the House of Commons finance committee earlier this month to share our views on the best ways to eliminate these barriers. We’d like to thank Prime Minster Mark Carney, Minister of Finance & National Revenue François-Philippe Champagne, and Minister of Jobs & Families Patty Hajdu (Parliamentarian) for their dedication and for including the latest DTC changes in the Spring Economic Update. Let’s work together to make it fairer and easier for people with disabilities to get the support they need. Full video on Youtube: https://lnkd.in/dczzB-3k
