  • Europe is currently experiencing another exceptional heatwave, with temperatures climbing to record levels across many regions. In conditions like these, staying properly hydrated is important. While many of us reach for another glass of water to cope with the heat, it's easy to forget the work that goes into ensuring our water is safe to drink. Reliable monitoring and analysis are essential to ensure that water meets strict safety requirements. 💧 Diduco's Xenoic® products can be used to carry out several of the official procedures for quality control of drinking water to follow the guidelines set by WHO or local governments, including the European Union Drinking Water Directive and United States Environmental Protection Agency. Specifically, the Xenoic® products meet the requirements for the official control methods based on ion chromatography in terms of reproducibility, linearity and detection limits as stated in ISO 10304-1 and EPA method 300.1A. These procedures are used for the quantification of the seven common inorganic anions in drinking water, surface water and groundwater: • Fluoride (F⁻) • Chloride (Cl⁻) • Nitrite (NO₂⁻) • Nitrate (NO₃⁻) • Bromide (Br⁻) • Phosphate (PO₄³⁻) • Sulfate (SO₄²⁻) To learn more about how Diduco's products are used for reliable and robust quality control of drinking water, browse the application example here 👉  https://lnkd.in/d8HzP-J #WaterQuality #WaterAnalysis #IonChromatography #Heatwave

  • Did you know some parts of Diduco’s products can be recycled? This approach allows us to reduce waste, conserve resources and extend the lifespan of the materials we use. To make the process as simple as possible, we have created short instructional videos on our website that show exactly what to do for each product. If you would like Diduco to recycle eligible parts of your used products, simply: ✔ Rinse ✔ Drain ✔ Package securely and send them back to us Through a carefully controlled process, our team then disassembles each unit and evaluates every component. Wherever possible, materials are recovered and parts are reused in the manufacturing of new products. ♻️ We encourage returns for recycling to include multiple products per shipment. Consolidating returns helps reduce the environmental impact of transportation and supports a more sustainable process. Visit our website to discover how easy it is to contribute to a more sustainable lifecycle for our products 👉 https://lnkd.in/eRC2Dgww #IonChromatography #LiquidChromatography #Sustainability #Recycling

  • As EU regulations around PFAS become stricter, there is a growing need to better understand the long-term impact of these substances on the environment. One compound gaining more attention is trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), the ultimate degradation product of many PFAS compounds. Due to its persistence and mobility in the environment, TFA is increasingly being recognized as a challenge that cannot be ignored. This growing awareness highlights the need for reliable analytical methods. Ion chromatography (IC) is a powerful tool for measuring TFA and helping laboratories gain a clearer picture of PFAS-related contamination. Interested in learning more about TFA analysis by ion chromatography? Get in touch with our team to continue the conversation 👉 https://lnkd.in/g-vewQaB #PFAS #TFA #IonChromatography

  • This Thursday, the 11th of June, Chau Huynh, a PhD student supervised by Diduco founder Prof. Knut Irgum, will defend his doctoral thesis at Umeå universitet. The thesis focuses on designing, making, testing and evaluating monolithic scaffolds for use as molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) that target hydrophilic analytes in water-based solutions. In one scientific paper of the thesis, Diduco's ion chromatography products were used to determine the binding efficiency of the synthesised monoliths for extraction of glyphosate and related organophosphorus herbicides. The defense is open to the public, and we encourage anyone with an interest in the field to attend and hear more about the research. You can also read the thesis in full here 👉  https://lnkd.in/d8jy79Sp Congratulations to Chau Huynh on this achievement, and best of luck for the defense. 🗓️ Thursday, 11th of June, 2026 ⏰ 09.00-13.00 📍 NAT.D.470, Naturvetarhuset, Umeå University

  • The Diduco team is growing! 🚀 We’re happy to share that Yulia Shavva has officially joined our Diduco team as a permanent employee. What started as a collaboration during her Master’s studies has turned into a permanent role at Diduco. Originally from Finland and educated at Umeå University, Yulia is a determined problem-solver with a sharp analytical mindset, making her a great addition to the team. Since joining Diduco, she has developed a better understanding of liquid chromatography and gained hands-on experience with a range of instruments. “I enjoy the analytical side of chemistry because it feels like solving a mystery. It’s also an incredibly versatile and valuable tool, with applications across many different fields. The diversity is what first sparked my interest,” says Yulia Shavva. Welcome (again) Yulia, we’re glad to have you with us! #HPLC #IonChromatography #LiquidChromatography

✨ From a Master’s Project to a permanent role at Diduco ✨ Diduco has welcomed Yulia Shavva as a permanent employee. Her journey with the Umeå company began during her Master’s studies, when she carried out a project in HILIC column characterization together with the Diduco team. 👩🔬 What started as a collaboration turned into a summer position, followed by casual work, and now a permanent role as a Laboratory Technician. Today, Yulia Shavva works across multiple projects, handling instruments, performing analyses, and contributing to quality control processes. 🎯 With a natural curiosity and a stubborn drive to understand how things work and why certain things don’t work, problem-solving has become one of her key strengths. 💬 “Yulia is a great addition to the our team. We’re proud to have been part of her educational journey, and we’re excited that she has chosen to continue her career with Diduco,” says Dr. Tobias Jonsson, CEO of Diduco.

  • Do you find it difficult and expensive to source helium to protect your eluents from CO₂? Diduco has an alternative solution. Ongoing supply chain challenges continue to impact the world and our industry in different ways. One example we’re currently seeing is the difficulty in securing a stable and affordable supply of helium, which is commonly used to protect eluents from carbon dioxide exposure. Instead of depending on helium, Diduco has developed the Xenoic® EQAX-TC1 Trap Cartridge. EQAX-TC1 efficiently removes carbon dioxide from incoming air, thus preventing contamination and maintaining eluent quality. This ensures a stable eluent pH with unaffected elution strength and safeguards against increasing background and noise. This approach also reduces dependency on a finite resource, making it a more sustainable option moving forward. ♻️ 👉 Learn more about CO₂ removal at https://lnkd.in/dfn9rWFC #LiquidChromatography #IonChromatography #ChemicalAnalysis
