  • June Risk Snapshot | Brisbane Commercial Assets We're six months into the year. Here's what the data has been telling us. June recorded offences across key Brisbane suburbs: 2,180. • Brisbane City: 1,052 • Fortitude Valley: 634 • South Brisbane: 202 • Spring Hill: 145 • West End: 106 • Milton: 41 June has continued a pattern we've been watching build across the year, activity levels climbing gradually as we move through the cooler months. Brisbane City in particular had a busier month than we've seen from it all year, which is worth paying attention to heading into the second half. With six months of data to review, some clear patterns have emerged across the suburbs our teams work in every day. • Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley have led recorded activity every month without exception. • West End has trended down significantly, from 362 reports in January to 106 in June. • South Brisbane has remained steady throughout the year, sitting between 198 and 232 reports across all months tracked. We track this data because context matters. Our teams are on the ground at these locations every day, knowing what's happening in the surrounding suburb means our people are aware, our clients are informed, and conversations about risk are grounded in something real rather than assumption. The first half of the year has given us a solid baseline to work from. We'll be watching to see what the next six months bring. #AssetManagement #PropertyRisk #SecurityStrategy #RiskManagement #BrisbaneProperty #OperationalRisk #DevSec

At DevSec, we are passionate about supporting our local community, and that includes backing the sporting organisations and athletes who help make Brisbane such a great place to live and work. We're proud to sponsor Brisbane Lions player Ryan Lester and support the incredible commitment, teamwork and leadership he brings both on and off the field. What makes this partnership even more special is that our COO and Co-Owner, Kyra Handakas, actually went to primary school with Ryan in Melbourne. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and they've both built their lives and careers here in Brisbane. It's a great reminder that you never know where life will take you, or who you'll reconnect with along the way. Here's to supporting local sport, celebrating community connections, and cheering on the Lions for the rest of the season... except when they're playing Kyra's team Geelong. Some loyalties never change! 😉🐱🦁 #DevSec #BrisbaneLions #CommunityPartnerships #LocalSport #BrisbaneBusiness #PeopleFirst

  • 🎉 Happy Birthday David Riley! 🎉 A year wiser and still handling chaos with a suspicious level of calm!! For nearly 3 years, Dave has been an integral part of the team, keeping our security operations running smoothly and always being someone people can rely on. Dave is reliable, approachable, and always willing to help although we’re still not sure if that’s because he’s a great Ops Manager or because he’s too nice to say no😂 We appreciate everything you do and we look forward to celebrating more birthdays together!

  • 🌊 Proud to have played a part in bringing this fantastic World Oceans Day activation to life. A huge thank you to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and Mobo Co for the opportunity to support an initiative that encourages awareness, education and connection to one of Australia's most important natural treasures. These are the moments that remind us that creating exceptional experiences in our buildings goes beyond security and concierge services, it's about bringing people together and creating meaningful engagement. Well done to everyone involved. 🌊🐢💙 #WorldOceansDay #GreatBarrierReef #TenantExperience #CommunityEngagement #CorporateConcierge #DevSec #Brisbane #MakingConnections #PeopleFirst Kyra Handakas Melissa Pascoe Whitney Hardman David Handakas Wayne Bartlem David Riley Libby Morse

This World Oceans Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate progress. Every breakthrough in reef science, every seagrass meadow restored, every partnership formed and every conversation started is part of something bigger. Today, our team has shared the story of the Reef with more of Brisbane through a lobby activation designed to spark curiosity and conversation. Protecting the ocean starts with helping people feel connected to it. Thank you DevSec and Mobo Co for the opportunity to celebrate this special day! 🌊🪸🐢

May Risk Snapshot | Brisbane Commercial Assets. Context doesn't come from a single building. It comes from the whole Suburb. May recorded offences across key Brisbane Suburbs: • Brisbane City - 833 • West End - 102 • South Brisbane - 198 • Fortitude Valley - 702 • Spring Hill - 168 • Milton - 58 - Included this month after appearing in our internal incident reporting system. Total recorded offences in May - 2,061 This month we also expanded our review to include Milton, following its appearance in our internal reporting systems. Keeping our external data aligned with what our onsite teams are recording ensures our suburb picture stays accurate. It's worth noting that while Brisbane City recorded the highest offence volume at 833, our managed properties in that suburb logged zero incidents internally for May. That's not a gap in the data. It reflects assets that are well-positioned, well-resourced, and operating in a way that manages exposure effectively. High suburb activity doesn't automatically mean high site risk, but it does mean the environment needs to be monitored closely. Across the broader portfolio, onsite teams responded to incidents involving aggression, theft, and workplace matters concentrated across West End, South Brisbane, Spring Hill, and Milton. Each month, we cross-reference publicly available crime data with our internal reporting to identify where coverage aligns with risk - and where it needs to shift. The environment around your asset shapes what happens inside it. Understanding both is how we stay ahead of it. #AssetManagement #PropertyRisk #SecurityStrategy #RiskManagement #BrisbaneProperty #OperationalRisk #DevSec

  • Creating memorable tenant experiences is what we do best. Our Concierge teams are front and centre engaging with tenants, building relationships, and creating a welcoming atmosphere, while our Concierge Management team works tirelessly behind the scenes making the magic happen. The result? Lobbies buzzing with energy, stronger tenant connections, and experiences people continue talking about long after the activation ends. • April Risk Snapshot | Brisbane Commercial Assets The numbers change each month. The approach doesn't. April public offence data across key Brisbane precincts: • Brisbane City – 805 • West End – 146 • South Brisbane – 201 • Fortitude Valley – 662 • Spring Hill – 169 Across our managed portfolio this month, our teams responded to onsite incidents involving aggression, theft-related activity, and welfare matters - consistent with the elevated activity recorded in high-density precincts. Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley continue to carry the highest volumes. That's not new information - but understanding what's driving it, when it peaks, and how it maps to your asset's exposure is what turns data into decisions. Every month we look at: • Where incidents are clustering by location and time • Whether onsite activity mirrors surrounding precinct trends • Gaps between scheduled coverage and actual risk windows • How deployment should shift in response Reactive security waits for something to happen. Risk-informed security is already positioned. If your asset sits in any of these precincts, understanding the environment around it is the first step to managing what happens inside it. #AssetManagement #PropertyRisk #SecurityStrategy #RiskManagement #BrisbaneProperty #OperationalRisk #DevSec
