Did you know Tennessee's oldest surviving home is right here in Hendersonville? For more than 240 years, Historic Rock Castle has been a place where history, education, and community come together. As the historic campus expands with a new Visitor & Event Center, every improvement must balance today's needs while also preserving more than two centuries of history. That's where we come in. Our team specializes in designing sites that respect the past while preparing them for the future. At Rock Castle, we're providing civil engineering and landscape architecture services to improve accessibility, pedestrian connections, utilities, parking, and outdoor gathering spaces, helping more people experience one of Tennessee's most treasured historic landmarks. Treaty Oaks | Nashville, TN As Nashville continues to grow, finding ways to add housing without completely changing the feel of existing neighborhoods is becoming increasingly important. Located in The Nations, Treaty Oaks takes a different approach. The cottage-style community includes a mix of two- and three-bedroom homes centered around a shared courtyard, creating a neighborhood where front doors face neighbors instead of parking lots. With parking pushed to the perimeter, the heart of the community is designed for the community, making it easier to connect, gather, and enjoy the shared outdoor space. Treaty Oaks shows how new housing can fit into established neighborhoods while still feeling like a place people want to call home. Meet our 2026 Summer Interns! This summer, our interns are gaining hands-on experience across civil engineering, landscape architecture, and marketing through a combination of firm-wide collaboration and discipline-specific work. From contributing to a large intern group project to working alongside their individual teams, they're getting an inside look at what it means to help design places where communities thrive. As part of their internship experience, we asked each intern what our tagline, "Designing Experiences. Shaping Places." means to them: Trinity Finnell | Civil Engineering Intern “It means creating spaces that help communities connect, grow, and create lasting memories.” Kavin Lewis | Civil Engineering Intern “It means that we have the power to shape what comes next. No problem is unsolvable, and through hard work, creativity, and collaboration, we can create solutions that make a lasting impact.” Sierra Degnan | Landscape Architecture Intern “It reminds me of the importance of the work we do. It means putting in time, research, and care into every design project, and using creativity and attention to detail to help make impactful projects that serve their community.” Cameron Monaco | Marketing Intern “It represents more than creating physical spaces; it reflects the power of connecting people to places through thoughtful design and the stories they can tell.” We’re excited to have them on board this summer and look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make. 👏 #DesigningExperiences #ShapingPlaces #Planning #CivilEngineering #LandscapeArchitecture

At The Shay, the irrigation pond serves as part of oneC1TY's broader water management strategy, collecting stormwater runoff, parking garage groundwater, and building condensate for reuse as irrigation water across the campus. Native watershed gardens, trails, and gathering spaces were intentionally designed around this infrastructure, transforming a functional site feature into an amenity that supports both sustainability and the design of the overall resident experience. Projects like The Shay demonstrate the benefit of an integrated team. By coordinating civil engineering and landscape architecture under one roof, functional site infrastructure becomes an opportunity to create more thoughtful and connected experiences. #DesigningExperiences #ShapingPlaces #Planning #CivilEngineering #LandscapeArchitecture

Publix Nolensville | Nolensville, TN A quick grocery run, grabbing dinner, meeting friends for coffee, or checking a few errands off the list. Village Green was designed to make everyday life a little more convenient for the Nolensville community. Anchored by a new Publix grocery store, the 90,473-square-foot retail center brings together a mix of grocery, dining, wellness, and service destinations, including First Watch, Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s, Club Pilates, Chase Bank, and Tropical Smoothie Café. Located along Nolensville Road, the development is now fully leased, reflecting the continued growth and demand in the Nolensville market. We provided civil engineering services for the Publix site, helping deliver the infrastructure and site design behind a destination that has quickly become part of the community's daily routine. It was great working alongside CBRE Group and Watkins Real Estate Group to help make it happen. #DesigningExperiences #ShapingPlaces #Planning #CivilEngineering #LandscapeArchitecture
